LUNCH MONEY
There is now a new way to apply lunch money to your child's lunch account!
When on the Explorer webpage, go to the LUNCH drop down box. Next go to the Children's Nutrition section. You will need their 4 digit account number - which you can get from the office or the kitchen. Please call if you have questions.

PARKING LOT CHANGES
I want to thank everyone for their part in making the morning drop off safer and easier on everyone. Mrs. Wagner and I will continue to direct traffic the remainder of the week in the mornings. Now we will be making a plan for the after school pick up procedures. This is much harder of an issue to comprehend as we have all parents picking up their child/ren at the same time. In the mornings, parents are staggered and it is easier to come up with a plan. In the meantime, for the afternoons, please drive safely and follow the rules of the parking lot. My hope is that soon we will have a plan in place to help the congestion.
PLEASE FOLLOW THE RULES OF THE PARKING LOT IN THE MORNING!
Dear Parents,
It has become apparent that our drop-off rules in the morning are not being followed. It gets harder as the season changes and not as many students ride their bikes. The difference now is that more students are being driven to school.
If you are dropping your child off, you have to drop and go. If you take longer then 30 seconds to drop your child off, it backs traffic up. When traffic backs up, people tend to take risks that are not safe. Please keep the traffic moving and at all times watch for students crossing the parking lot. If you want to watch or walk your child into the school, park your vehicle on the road or parking lot and walk your child in. You can never leave your car unattended in the drop off lanes.
Thank you,
Mike Munzke
Harrisburg Explorer Principal

SCHOOL REACH
It is the time of year where we make preparations for the future snow and inclement weather. The Harrisburg School District will utilize School Reach to pass along any cancellations and late starts. You should also watch the television stations and/or listen to the radio for any announcements if you have concerns about the weather. If you do not receive a School Reach message the night before or morning of a late start or school cancellation, please call the school and we will take care of any issues. Also, please read the above information titled "Winterletter" from our Superintendent.
BOND VOTE PASSES
Thanks to everyone that voted on our recent bond. Passing this bond allows our School District to build two new much needed venues for our students. A new elementary and middle school will begin construction in the fall of 2012 and will open it's doors to our students in the fall of 2013.
