Polk County Traditions

1992-93 School Origins
The first yearbook shows a place of high expectation and promise.

93-94 School Year Link

This helps bridge the gap between the school's origins and the start of Tracks.  This school year was big on being family.  Mr. Powell also helped with continuity.

Lead-in and Menus, DVD 2011
This was the last DVD in a four-year series that was sold at graduation to include four-plus years of Tracks along with the graduation ceremony.

Alma Mater
Gene Vanderford was the band director and song's creator

The first Tracks does lunch

This lunch critique was in the first 1995 Tracks broadcast and began the weekly TV show tradition. The teacher had much to learn; classes use it on the exam to critique all the areas to improve.

Valentine's High Tea for Eloise Thwing
On February 13, 2011, Eloise Thwing's 20 years of service to the Thermal Belt Outreach was recognized.

Forbes Foundation in 1 min. 16 secs.

House of Flags
A tour guide at Columbus's House of Flags was leading high school students around the museum and offered these comments along the way.

Miscellaneous

Football Players Face a Blindfold
This was a memorable pep rally from about 2005 with some input from some special     mothers and sons.

Twister Duel of ' 98 & '04
The 1997 computer was brand new to class use and camera shots were still experimental.  The first version of twister gave special effects; the second told a fuller story.

A spoof NEVER funny to students

This goes to the extreme in showing best student efforts in a classroom.  Students generally like spoofs on others; this strikes a chord that maybe only teachers can appreciate.

PCHS Graduations

Graduates for all four years at PCHS started in 1996.  Only two graduation exercises had to be held in the auditorium due to rain.  Only the stadium could allow ample seating for all friends and relatives of the graduates.  Videotapes and DVD's were sold commercially from about 2003 to 2007.
