2011 Trip to Europe

I really need to post my pictures from our great trip to Croatia last year. This year we are going to London for four days, on to Hengelo, Netherlands for four and finally over a week in Portugal. Another one of Hubby's great teaching job. Hopefully, I will have more time in the near future. Yours, Claudia

Off to Croatia

We will be spending our Spring vacation in Croatia. It will be our second trip to Croatia but our first to the Dalmatian Coast. We will "splitting" our time between Split and Dubrovnik. Can't wait. Yours, Claudia

Count Down to France

In only a few weeks, we will be off to France. This trip will be part of my Virtual Fieldtrip project that I have been doing with my schools for the past ten years. Our first Virtual Fieldtrip in 1999 was to France. We have come full circle in ten years and returning to France.
This year I will be 'taking' twelve elementary schools K-5. I will be blogging with all of these student BUT I will be using a protected district server. After the trip is over, I will be adding my blog entries to this site.
We will be going to some very interesting places this year including Carcasonne, Bordeaux, Brittany, Normandy and back to Paris. Enjoying Budapest

Ticket have been purchased...

We will be leaving for Budapest in August around my birthday and returning 13 days later. For France, we are leaving in October for 13 days also. I struggled with frequent flyer accounts and got Les a free ticket to Budapest and free ticket for me to Paris. Nothing is easy when you use frequent flyer points! Yours, Claudia

Travel Planned for 2009

2009 should prove to be another exciting travel year for the Novak Family. Dr. Novak is planning to teach at radar conference in Bordeaux, France in October. For my 60th birthday present, I am hoping to go to World Pairs Driving Championship in Hungary in late August to see my mentor, Larry Poulin drive. More later as things develop. Yours, Claudia Novak

Welcome To Our Global Adventures

Since 1992, Dr. Novak and I have been traveling the globe mostly for his great teaching jobs at big global radar conferences. Yes, we have taken other great trips to Europe for just fun and pleasure along to seeing the great Welsh ponies and Cobs that we so love. In 1999, I started doing Virtual Fieldtrips with my students as part of my job as a technology integrator for the Nashua, NH School District. Finally, in 2001, I started doing these Virtual Fieldtrips on my school website http://www.nashua.edu/novakc/ .

Over the years, we have accumulated thousand of pictures and some incredible experiences. I decided to develop this photo blog to share some of these photos and experiences with more than my students and family. This is going to be a long term project since our early travels were only recorded with a still camera and I will have to scan in many of these old photos. It will also be a long term project to go through the thousands of digital photos since I got a digital camera in 1999 and ONLY give you the best. Yours, Claudia Novak

Actually, Vanessa, it is the church in Amalfi, Italy. Yes, there is a great deal of Eastern influences in this marvelous church. This was one of my favorite pictures from our Virtual Fieldtrip 2008 to Italy. I will be adding many photo albums to these pages!

Splendid - both the application/Shutterfly site and the pictures r(most especially tidy cob pix). I presume the header is east Europe - Croatia for the Islamic influence on architecture, more than one might expect for either Hungary or Austria (up to the gates of not withstanding)
