Welcome to P.E. with Mr. Smith and Ms. Massey

The mission of our Physical Education Program is to:

· Intrinsically motivate children to be active throughout their lives.

· To empower them with the essential knowledge and skills of fitness and nutrition which will enable them to assess, analyze, design and implement their own physical activity and nutrition programs.

· To teach them a wide variety of lifetime sports skills which will enable them to find an activity they will enjoy participating in throughout their lives.

· To help them enjoy the tremendous benefits of exercise.

· To provide fun and exciting activities that will make school a great place to be.

· To create wonderful memories and friendships.

What Your Child Can Expect In P.E.

Lots of Physical Activity!!

We dance, throw, catch, set, pass, kick, serve, smash, run, walk, dribble, shoot, jump, & roll!!

We combine some of these skills (and others) in situations that provide maximum participation.

Your child will be encouraged to learn skills, movement concepts, social responsibility, cooperation, and hopefully, a LOVE for physical activity.

What We Expect In P.E.

Shoes: Tennis or running shoes are required to participate.

Conduct: If your child is placed in time-out three times during the nine weeks, you will be notified. If his/her conduct does not improve, he/she will recieve an N for conduct.

Health: If your child has any allergies, illnesses or special needs that will affect his/her participation in P.E., please send a note to let us know.
