Christmas in New England
Tristan loved his first Christmas. He was spoiled with lots of presents and love. There was lots of beautiful snow at Memere and Grandpa's and tons of new places to explore. He learned quick not to touch the Christmas tree, it's not soft like the one in DC. The fireplace was a new wonder to his exploration, and he sat in the den and living room in amazement every time it was blazing.
The little man is now running everywhere he goes. It's amazing how fast they grow. His first birthday is fast approaching. 2009 has been a wonderful and blessed year. It started off with a wonderful little package, and has filled my heart ever since.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Growing like a Beanstalk
Tristan just keeps bigger and bigger. At his 9 month checkup he was 32 inches tall, and 23lbs! Talk about a big kid.
Little man is creeping along, holding on to everything he can to walk around. I think it's only a matter of time before he walks.
He's a smart little guy. When he's in the tub he says "wadha", it's the perfect little Bostonian accent.
Halloween is right around the corner. I'll be sure to post more pictures of Tristan in his monkey costume.
Moving Day and First Road Trip
HI All,
Tristan is getting bigger and bigger everyday. He has now mastered the art of crawling forward not just backwards. His other big accomplishment is sitting up all by himself. He really is a little baby buddha! I'm convinced he says "hola" and "hello" all the time; I'm sure it's not intentional. He does seem to have a set of lungs on him. He insists on yelling "DA DA DA" and letting out a high pitch squeal in church and in the supermarket. I wonder where he got those genes?!? I must admit it is quite entertaining. Bath time has become one of the highlights of our day. Tristan goes completely crazy, splashing and kicking, and literally swimming all around the tub. Looks like we have a champion swimmer in the making.
We are now officially moved into our new home sweet home. Tristan has his own room, and lots more space to crawl and play. It was a lot of work, but now that it's done I'm glad we did it.
We are taking our first Road Trip to "Memere and Grandpa's Mountain" on Saturday. Tristan is going to be sporting his new car seat, and riding up in style. We can't wait to see everyone and enjoy the nice beautiful New England summer.
