How is it possible that our little baby boy will be turning 1 in less than a month?  I'm not sure where the time has gone, but the last 11 months have been the best of our lives!  Tyler continues to amaze us each and every day.  The other day he took a few steps all on his own!!!  He cruises everywhere and is a very efficient crawler (he's so fast!) but we'll have a walker before we know it :)  He already keeps us chasing him non-stop so things should really get interesting when he's walking/running around everywhere.  All boy would describe our son perfectly...he's a very active little one!  We are so thankful to have such a healthy and truly happy son; he's always smiling!

 

In other news...Tyler had his first haircut and looks more and more like a handsome little boy each day.  What's happening to our baby?  Is it really toddler time?!?  He prefers real food over babyfood now...chicken, corn and mashed potatoes was a favorite this week!  Drinking out of his sippy cup is another big accomplishment.  Tyler loves to talk...he blabs about all kinds of nonsense all day long :)  However, in addition to Dada and Mama he added "Kit Cat" to his vocabulary this week!  Tooth #5 recently came through and he loves to brush his teeth :)  Since Tyler is now into everything we call him Mr. Mischief!  His latest mischevious activites include playing in the cabinets, unrolling the toilet paper and cracking eggs (he broke 5)!  Other favorite activities include going outside, playing with his friends and snuggling with Mommy and Daddy (he give hugs, too)!  He can also wave bye bye, give high 5's, knock on the door and clap his hands...so big! As you can see, everyday is an adventure!

Tyler is 9 months today!  I truly can't believe how fast the time has gone.  While I still call him my baby, he is looking more and more like a toddler each day.  He continues to be the happiest little boy and brings so much joy to our lives! 

 

Sorry I haven't updated in quite some time...Tyler certainly keeps me busy, especially now that he is on the move!  Highlights of the past few months include crawling, cruising, saying dada (mama better be soon!), clapping, waving bye bye and getting his first 2 teeth!  We go to the doctor today to see how much he has grown :)

 

We have so much fun together.  Yesterday we went to the waterpark!  Tyler loves to play in the water and even has his own "frog pond" in the backyard.  We also get together with our playgroup regularly...he loves to play and watch the other kids.  Being outside is another favorite, as is jumping in his jumparoo, playing with his musical table and swinging!

 

Andy and I can't imagine life without Tyler!  I think Daddy's biggest joy is the excitement on Tyler's face when he gets home from work.  As soon as Tyler hears the door open, he gets the biggest smile on his face, kicks his legs and makes noises in excitement!  He will crawl right to his Daddy, too.  It will just about melt your heart.  As for me, I feel like my heart is going to burst at any moment...could I love this child any more?  Tyler now gives Mommy kisses, reaches for me and snuggles me by laying his head on my shoulder...I couldn't be happier!  We both adore this little boy and love him to pieces!

I can't believe our baby is already 6 months old.  He continues to amaze us each day!  Tyler can now sit up by himself and pulls to stand.  He is desperate to move around and we expect him to be crawling in no time!  It's so fun to watch him change and grow.  He enjoys playing with his toys and seems eager to talk!  We can't wait for the day to hear him say mama and dada! 

 

Other highlights...Tyler finally is sleeping through the night like such a good boy!  We expect his first tooth to arrive anytime...he is definitely teething because he puts EVERYTHING in his mouth :)  So far, Tyler is not a picky eater...he especially likes his sweet potatoes...and his toes!

 

We are so blessed to have this amazing little person in our lives.  He is a very happy baby, smiling and laughing all the time.  Being parents is the most rewarding experience.  However, we aren't sure how we feel about the fact that our little baby is turing into a big boy right before our eyes!  See for yourself in the pictures below :) 

Time is flying...Tyler is 4 months old!  He now weighs over 13 pounds...what a big boy!  Check out some of his new pictures below.

 

This past month has been fun-filled as always.  Some new tricks up Tyler's sleeve are...rolling over both ways (although he still does not do this on a regular basis), laughing, babbling and screaming (excitedly) and putting EVERYTHING in his mouth, especially his hands!

 

The doctor gave us the go ahead to try some rice cereal.  After a few days of getting used to it, Tyler seems to enjoy his new food!  While he likes his cereal, he is much more interested in what Mommy and Daddy are eating :)  It's almost as if he is thinking...Hey, I want a bite of that!

 

We also joined a playgroup in the area.  The girls are already crazy about Tyler...he's gonna be a heartbreaker!  Check out Emma giving him a kiss in one of the pictures...too cute :)

 

Andy and I are amazed with Tyler everyday.  It's hard to believe he is already 4 months, but at the same time it feels as if he has been with us forever.  We actually got to go out on Valentine's Day (thanks Grammy & Grandpa for babysitting).  While we enjoyed our time together, we couldn't wait to get home to see our boy!

Can you believe Tyler is already over 3 months old?  Time certainly has been flying by...we are enjoying every minute!  The holidays were very busy, but wonderful.  We traveled as a family to Missouri, Indiana and the Chicago area.  Everyone was very excited to meet our little boy.  I have to say that Santa certainly spoiled him as did all his family and friends!  We are so lucky to have such amazing people in our lives.

 

Unfortunately Tyler did get sick after Christmas.  Luckily, it was just a bad virus.  It was scary for Mommy and Daddy, but he was feeling better after about 2 weeks.  Hopefully we can all stay healthy through the rest of this winter season.

 

Tyler was baptized this month.  It was a special day for us all.  He was a very good boy!  I am hoping to get some pictures on here soon. 

 

It is amazing how quickly Tyler is growing.  Even though he still has some catching up to do, he now is over 12 pounds, which is double his birth weight.  It is such a joy to watch him grow and change.  Recently he has rolled over (from tummy to back) and has the start of a giggle!  He also is interested in his toys now and will grab and hold onto them briefly.  Engaging in baby talk is another favorite activity...he just babbles and coos away!  The best thing is the big smile he gets on his face whenever he sees Mommy or Daddy.  He really does know who we are and seems to love us just as much as we love him!

Tyler met Santa and Mrs. Claus yesterday.  He liked Santa so much that he pulled his beard and tried to spit up on him!  Take a look at the pictures.  I have also posted some pictures from the last week or so.  It is amazing how fast our little boy is growing!  He looks more like a little man now :)  We are so lucky to have him...he is the best!  Merry Christmas to everyone...stay tuned for many Christmas pictures to come!

Our little six pound peanut is now up to nine pounds!  He is growing so fast!  We are having so much fun with him.  It's hard to believe that he will be 8 weeks old tomorrow...time is flying by.  Recently he has started to show us some smiles, can lift up his head (briefly) and is kicking away!  His favorite activity is looking at lights, especially the Christmas tree!  I'm sure Santa will be visiting this especially good boy!  Tyler had a wonderful first Thanksgiving and is certainly looking forward to Christmas!
