We took Tyson to Red Rock with Harlee. He laughed and giggled the whole hike, he loved it!

Tyson eats peas

Tyson's first veggies are peas. We're not sure he enjoyed them too much. After a while, he would shake his head, as if to say "no more!"

Tyson took two steps on his own today!  He was standing by our end table in the living room and with lots of encouragement from mommy and daddy, Tyson took two wobbly steps towards us.  He sat down with a big grin and clapped afterwards. 

Tyson said his first legible words last week!  We have an exceptionally
polite little boy on our hands...he said "thank you" clear as day when I
gave him a Cheerio!  Okay, he was just repeating what I said, but still.
We are very proud.

Troy went to get Tyson from his nap today and found him standing in his crib, peering over the top!  I sure hope he knows how to get down, especially if he does this in the middle of the night.

And pulling himself up on the furniture.  Once he gets up on his feet, he laughs and looks around to see if anyone is watching him, like he's so proud of himself.  Time to get serious about babyproofing!

We have been practicing the art of crawling at home for a few weeks now.  Tyson hasn't quite gotten it yet, or so we thought.  At school this week, he army crawled (using his arms) to his teacher when she was feeding solids to one of his classmates.  He was jealous that her parents sent lunch along with her bottles.  We got the hint.  Tyson eats lunch at school now with the rest of his peers.

Tyson's first week at school was a success!  It is a loving environment and they keep Tyson on a good schedule.  He is the only boy in a class of eight, what a lucky little guy!  Laura and Troy's life is a bit more hectic, but they will soon get used to this new routine.

We're pretty sure Tyson has started teething.  No sign of any teeth yet, but plenty of symptoms, like drooling (between him and the dog, we have lots of slobber in our house) and rubbing his gums (he can shove his whole fist in his mouth, it's quite impressive).  Stay tuned for news from the tooth fairy.

Wow, three months has gone by so fast.  Just yesterday, we were doing our tummy time (which he is starting to tolerate more and more) and he rolled over onto his back!  Troy said he just wanted to be finished with tummy time, but you be the judge.  He has started to coo, which sounds like he is having a conversation only he understands.  And, he has started to grab hold of things with a firm grip, like his hanging toys, blankets and your shirt.  We look forward to what next month will bring!
