CONGRATULATIONS to the UCF A team.  This past weekend the Women's Volleyball Club at UCF participated in Florida State's Seminole Classic.  The UCF A team won the entire tournament defeating FSU B in 2 games in the semifinals and defeating FSU A in 2 games in the finals.  UCF swept the tournament as the men's teams also placed in 1st & 2nd.  Since this was the last tournament of the semester the women's club will now practice until break.  Tryouts for the Spring 2010 team will be in January.  Please check back for the dates and more information.  Have a good break!

This past weekend the Women's Volleyball Club at UCF traveled to Miami to compete in their volleyball tournament.  The UCF A team competed against the UM A in the quarter finals defeating them in 2 games.  During the semifinals the UCF A team lost to a USAV team, A Gozar, in 3 very close games.  Overall the UCF A team placed 3rd.  The Women's Volleyball Club at UCF will now gear up to play at Florida State University's tournament this coming weekend.

This weekend the Women's Volleyball Club at UCF hosted our first annual Knight's Fall Classic.  10 teams from all over Florida and Georgia competed.  UCF's A & B teams did exceptionally well this weekend with the UCF A team taking first and the UCF B team taking 3rd!  The UCF A team played a great match against UF A coming back from a 6 point deficit in the 3rd game to win 25-20, 23-25, 15-13.  Congratulations ladies!!  For full results check our Knight's Fall Classic page.  The Women's Volleyball Club at UCF will now get ready for our next tournament in Miami on Nov. 7th.

Another congratulations is in order to the UCF A team for placing 3rd at the University of Georgia on Oct. 17th!  The Knight's lost a close match against UGA, 20-25, 25-21, 13-15 in the quarterfinals.  The Women's Volleyball Club at UCF is happy to host the Knight's Fall Classic this Saturday at UCF's Rec and Wellness Center.  This will be our first home tournament of the year with 10 teams participating.  Please check our Knight's Fall Classic page for details regarding the tournament.

CONGRATULATIONS to the UCF A team on winning the UF Tournament this past weekend in Gainesville, FL!!  It was a very successful first tournament for both the A team and B team.  Now that we've worked out all the kinks we're ready to compete this coming weekend in Athens, GA at the UGA Tournament.

SUCCESS AT NATIONALS: The Women's Club Volleyball team attended the NIRSA Nationals April 9th-11th.  The team competed in Women's Division II and ended up placing 8th in the Gold Bracket.

 

The 2009 spring season was a very successful season for the Women's Club Volleyball team.  As of now the team will be on break for the summer.  Open gyms and practices will start back up again during the Fall (09) within the first 3 weeks of school.  Check back for more information as the date gets closer.

*SPRING 2009 TRYOUT INFO*

Open gyms will be held on Wednesday, January 7th and Monday, January 12th from 8-10pm in the Eduaton Complex's gym.  Tryouts for the 2009 spring season will begin Wednesday, January 14th and Wednesday, January 21st from 8-10pm in the Education Complex's gym as well.  Players are strongly encouraged to show up to open gyms to sharpen their skills for tryouts.

Fall tryouts for the 2008 season will take place on Monday September 8th & Wednesday September 10th.  Tryouts start at 8pm and will be held in the Education Complex's gym.  We will also hold tryouts in the spring.

Open gyms will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays starting August 25th from 8-10pm in the Eduaton Complex's gym.  Tryouts for the 2008 fall season will take place September 8th & 10th from 8-10pm in the Education Complex's gym as well.  Players are strongly encouraged to show up to open gyms to sharpen their skills for tryouts.
