Hard to believe it has been about a year since I updated this blog.  Time moves on quickly.  To many things has happened since last time to put 'pen to paper' as they say. 

Let's just say that Life in the Coleman Family is Great.  Everyone has adjusted to all of the changes that has gone on in the past few months.  Kenny is back in Port Arthur, TX working, Jesse is living in Jonesboro and going to school. (she is in her 3rd year of college), Mason is a Senior this year and I am making at least 2 trips a month to see Kenny and spend the weekend with him. 

We have a new addition to our family, Harlee Ray.  She is a jack russell terrior (actually she is Jess's dog but since she is in Jonesboro, she is here with Mason and I.) 

It is beginning to feel like fall and I would rather it be summer again already. 

Well, that's enough for now.  But be assured, whether I update daily, monthly, or yearly, ... Time Moves on Quickly....

School is off to a good start.  It began on August 18th this year and is well underway. 

Mason is in the 11th grade this year and Jesse is in her 2nd year of college.  The kids are growing up and away so quickly.  Hard to deal with that fact at times, but I pray alot and the good Lord helps me understand and comforts me. 

Kenny is still working in Edwardsville, IL. on the Wood River Project.  I haven't been up to see him in a few weeks but he has been home two times since I have been up there. 

Mason and I went up the weekend before school started. I plan to go this weekend.

Mason is finished with his summer job and taking it easy right now.  He took the ACT on Saturday and we are hoping for a good score.  He is really maturing and is a good kid.  He ran for Student Council at school last week and was elected Jr. Class Secretary.  I am very proud of the young man he has become. 

The weather is starting to be a bit cooler but not cold.  I will miss the summer weather.  I really do not like fall or winter. 

I have added a few pictures of the past couple of weeks.  Hard to get anything but posed pictures when no one is around long enough to get candids.  But I will take what I can get.

 

July is one of my favorite times of the year.  The weather is nice and hot and I get to spend alot of time outside.

The past week, I took a couple of days off work and spent the whole time in my yard. I planted, mowed, weeded and put some pavers in.  Good honest hard work.  Nothing else makes me feel as good.  (Most be the country/WVA girl coming out in me)

Then we had Kenny home for 3days.  It was nice to have him here to celebrate the 4th of July with us. We were able to take our nephew, Deuce, with us to a few places.  He is so much fun and such a delight to be around.  I think he really likes his Uncle Kenny (or maybe it's the iphone that Kenny lets him play with every time.LOL)

We celebrated Shirley and Sprout's anniversary and the 4th all together since all of the boys were able to be there.  We even had Jesse's boyfriend, Tyler, there too.  Nick grilled shrimp and cooked King Crab legs.  It was delicious!!! I am still full.  :)

There are 4 more weeks of July and I know there will be plenty to tell about in the coming weeks.

Talk about a busy month!  June is that and then some.  Where should I begin? 

Let me start with work... one of the two busiest times of year for me.  June 30th is our 'end of year' a bookkeepers nightmare most of the time.  I am up to my eyeballs in numbers. LOL

Then there are the birthdays in June....My Dad's is the 22nd, Jesse's is the 23rd, my grandmother's would have been the 26th(sure do miss her), Shirley's is the 27th.  Mom and Dad also have an anniversary in there on the 20th. 

Then you have Father's Day on the 21st. 

Also, a few orthodontist visits, eye appointments (yes, I am now in the elite group of those who wear bifocals) Having alot of trouble adjusting to using them, but my eye dr assures me that I will get used to it. 

Plus, I am going to visit Kenny every weekend.  (800 mile round trip).  Took the kids with me this past weekend for Father's Day and we all had a wonderful time.  I will put pictures on here this afternoon hopefully. 

Yard mowing is now a twice a week event as it always is this time of year.  But those of you that know me well, know that I LOVE being outside no matter what the weather working in the yard.

This is the beginning of summer for us in the Coleman household. 

Lots of things going on.  Jesse is taking 2 classes at ASU in June and 2 classes in July, so she is keeping very busy with that and she is also working every afternoon at the law firm.  Then there is the boyfriend, shopping, swimming, concerts, church, and everything in between to keep her even busier.  I hardly see the girl.  But she is having fun and keeping her grades up.

Mason is no longer working at Food King since they are in financial crisis.  He is working from 7am til 4pm Monday thru Friday for the School District on the remodel crew.  The only thing he doesn't like about it is that he only gets paid once a month.  I told him "welcome to the real world" . LOL  He comes home tired and hungry every day but for some reason that doesn't stop him from running around all evening in his truck.  :)  As long as he stays out of trouble I am fine with it.  As you can see, I hardly see him either. 

As for me, well, I go to Edwardsville, IL (right outside of St Louis) every weekend I can get away to see Kenny.  It is nice and we have a good time.  I really don't like working at the school all summer but that is part of my contract and I do what I have to do.  :(  It's hard to be here at work knowing everyone else that works here is on summer break. 

We will probably not be heading to WV this summer since the kids are tied up with school and work.  We are planning to go over Thanksgiving.
