Preschool Open Gym that was supposed to be held Sunday Feb. 5th, will now be held on Sunday Feb. 19th, from 12:00pm - 2:00pm.  - Please join us then! 

 

4/5's class - We have added another new student to our class, so we are now up to 18 students.  Please provide enough snack for 18 on Tuesday and Thursday.  I will be updating snack calendars to reflect these changes also! 

 

Parking - When you drop your child off in the morning, please refrain from using the "driveway" that the buses use.  When cars are parked here it is hard for our buses to move in and out and safety becomes a concern.  Please park on the East side of the school and walk your child up to the school.  Thank you for your help with this! 

There will be NO SCHOOL on Thursday, November 3rd due to the football team playing at 12:30 in Grand Forks.  Cheer on the Spartans to a victory over the Ada-Borup Cougars! 

Both our 3 year olds and our 4/5's made applesauce this week.  They came to school and helped core and cut the apples and also helped me with adding all the ingredients!  I will post pictures soon - - The 3 year old AM class will get to taste their applesauce on Monday, the other 2 groups have tried theirs.  Ask your child about trying a yellow and green apple too!

The following is the recipe we used:
Johnny Appleseed Applesauce

20 Apples
2 Cups Water
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon cinnamon
Salt - - Just a pinch! 
1 Teaspoon lemon juice
Red Hot Candies - - As many or as little as you like

Dice apples and remove cores.  Put in a crockpot.  Add water, sugar, cinnamon, salt, lemon juice and red hot candies.  Cook on low for about 4 hours. 
Enjoy! 

I have added the Field Trip Permission Form for your child (4/5's) to attend our field trip to the fall hall...one will also be coming home with them next week! 

Donations Needed for Community Ed Fall Festival - - Preschool will have a fish pond and is asking for donations of small treats (spider rings, stickers, pencils, etc.) or candy to fill our treat bags that children will catch! 

I added a list of some healthy snack ideas...I know sometimes it can be difficult to think of something different and end up always bringing the same thing!  :) 

I have attached the October Newsletter and another note that will be going home this coming week. 

Also, we are looking for the following:

Someone who is on the fire department in Ulen that would be willing to help the preschoolers with a field trip to the station. - - Please contact me at the school!  596-8853 EXT. 1059

Someone with an apple tree or someone willing to donate apples for our apple theme week!  We have some really fun activities planned for this week, but need apples to do so!  - - Contact me at the school!  596-8853 EXT. 1059

Someone with pumpkins willing to donate for our pumpkin theme week!  Again, we have some really fun activities planned for this week, but need pumpkins to do so!  - - Contact me at the school!  596-8853 EXT. 1059

Please make sure you note that we have a new student in the 4/5's class, so we now need 17 snacks on snack day!  Also, I have made some changes to the snack calendars for the year, to add our new student.
