Welcome to Upskill Hockey!

Here you'll find dates and information on the Upskill Hockey Programme - A Junior Hockey Programme aimed at 7-17 year olds based around the Wellington Region, New Zealand. The aim is to make Hockey an enjoyable experience for all involved. Hopefully along the way each player will have fun, meet new people, and UPSKILL their hockey ability!!

Upskill November Spring Programme 2011

Spread your learning and development over 4 weeks, and benefit for the future. Improvement guaranteed!

Trainings will be held in 4 locations throughout the Wellington region:

Kapiti - Starting Mon 7 November.

Fraser Park. Lower Hutt - Starting Tues 8 November.

NHS Wellington - Starting Wed 9 November.

Elsdon Porirua - Starting Fri 11 November.

GK Clinic - running Wed's at NHS starting 9 Nov

Upskill Specialist Skill Clinics in July

Dear players, parents and conveners,

Upskill Hockey will be running a series of specialist skill clinics for Primary and Secondary hockey players throughout the school holidays from 18 - 22 July.

These sessions will cover skills that are essential in becoming a good modern day hockey player.

Each Clinic will be run by a Head Coach who has expertise and is one of Wellington's best in that specific skill. The full duration of each clinic will concentrate on the chosen skill.

Skill Clincs are:

DragFlicking - Head Coach: Jamie Coombes

Long Passing (Hitting, Sweep Hitting, Overheads): Head Coach Scott Falconer

Tackling: Head Coach Scott Falconer

Goalscoring: Head Coach Jared Jones

Dribbling and Elimination skills: Head Coacc: Jared Jones

Goalkeeping: Head Coach Alex Schroder

Upskill Hockey has a very proud tradition of offering quality coaching services to the keen young hockey players of Wellington, something we wish to continue.

Pre-season Upskill Easter Programme

The Easter Upskill Hockey programme will be one-off 2.5 hour coaching sessions held at 4 locations around the Wellington Region: Time at all locations is 9.30am – 12 noon.

· Monday 18 April – Fraser Park Hockey Stadium, Lower Hutt

· Tuesday 19 April – National Hockey Stadium, Newtown

· Wednesday 20 April – Elsdon Hockey Turf, Porirua

· Thursday 21 April – Kapiti Hockey Turf, Mazengarb Park,

· Goalkeeper Clinic; Tuesday 19 April at National Hockey Stadium

Wellington 2010-2011 Summer Programme Reviewed

2010-2011 WELLINGTON SUMMER PROGRAMME DATES FINALISED!!

The 2010-2011 Summer Programme around Wellington was a huge success with over 130 players involved.

Due to NHS 1 being replaced, turf time was limited and our timing was not the greatest however numbers were still up from last years programme!!!

AWESOME WORK guys and girls!!!
