As we come into the last great weekend of fall foliage we hope everyone can make their way to Vermont and experience the splendor of fall.  Without exception fall is our second favorite season!  The office will be open this weekend on Saturday, October 10 from 10am to 3pm.  This weekend will also feature a sale at Vermont Snow Wizards at the bottom of the Magic Mountain access road.  Vermont Snow Wizards will be open from 9am to 6pm all weekend and will feature great deals on clothing, accessories, and equipment. 

The deadline to purchase your 2009-2010 season pass at the early discounted rate has been extended to Monday, October 12. If you haven't purchased your season pass yet be sure to send in your application, stop by the mountain or purchase your pass online before next Monday.  For only $379 you can be skiing Magic's fantastic terrain with friends and family all season long with no black out dates.

Preparations are moving along nicely for the 2009-2010 season.  Minor snow making repairs, lift maintenance, and brush cutting are occurring daily with an eye toward our December Opening.  We are looking forward to welcoming everyone on Saturday, October 17th and 24th for our Volunteer Work Days.  The response has been fantastic so far and we can't wait to work with the Magic skiers and riders to help get the mountain ready for the season.  We will be forming our "To Do" lists this weekend and will have more details available about the work days early next week.  Activities will include painting the deck, clearing brush and rocks from trails, cleaning up some gladed areas, widening Carumba and Lower Red Line to help accommodate some terrain features as well as other tasks around the mountain.  The Volunteer Days will be lots of fun and we hope you can join us.

Columbus Day Weekend Hours:  The Magic Mountain office will be open from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, October 10.

New Operating Schedule:  For the 2009-2010 Season Magic Mountain will be open Friday through Monday, all Holiday Periods and any day following a 6" snow storm with at least 50% of the mountain open.

2009-2010 Holiday Periods:  Holiday periods for the 09-10 Season are December 26, 2009 through January 3, 2010, January 16 through January 18, 2010, and February 13 through February 21, 2010.

Upcoming Events

Saturday, October 17:  Fall Volunteer Day #1: Come on up to Magic for a day on the mountain helping prepare for the upcoming season. Activities will include trail clean up, glade clean up and expansion, lodge based work and other projects.  

Saturday, October 24:  Fall Volunteer Day #2:  If you missed the first Volunteer day or just want to come back and do it again, here is your chance!

Saturday, November 28:  Thanksgiving Weekend Open Lodge:  Pick up your season pass, catch up with old friends and meet some new ones over a beverage from Goniff's Den Bar while we await the 09-10 Season.
