Suzy sent some very pretty flower images and embellishments to use this month! You can't tell by the picture, but the inside has a layer of the lighter green and a matching Pink flower. She sent out enough stuff that I've I've made 2 more.. just haven't taken pics. Thank you Suzy for the great images and embellishments! This is a 6x6 card.. I know extra postage.. YUCK! LOL But I couldn't make up my mind which flower to use... so I used all 4 of this set! No clue who I am going to send it to but it wa fun making it!

I printed our National Anthem inside, it's a squash fold. I am going to Archiver's tomorrow to look for a nicer paper for the inside. Maybe a parchment. My sister's boyfriend of about 40 years passed away last Sunday. I seriously can't think of any cards I've made for for this occasion for any I knew personally. The flowers on the front are real mirrors I borrowed the Frame Nestie, I like the look. the inset pic is of the inside I always send Teresa a Ghiradelli Chocolate.... I made her a stationary box some time ago and the little pocket labeled Postage.. I put a chocolate in it.. so she always asks me for POSTAGE!

Voices
Voices. I have had this photo tacked on the wall here for over a year now. I keep looking at it thinking I need to scrap it somehow! Thank you Rachel for the challenge! It's the house I lived in the 1st 10 yrs of my life. I had taken my nephew to the hospital and drove right past it and HAD to take a pic. Each time I look at it I remember something different about living there. I can vividly remember my grama's visits, she always cooked up fudge and I got to help. But for the life me I can't make fudge! I can also hear my mom yelling up the stairs for my brother to take the trash out and him responding " in a minute!"

Pulled Pork For my main dish I got 2# of Pork (2 Pics) 4 Garlic Cloves sliced into 4 slivers (16 letters) BBQ Sauce and Apple Cider Vinegar for zing (Brown Bling) A spoonful of Cole Slaw (Green and Orange, photo corners) These pics were taken last Fall, Louie and Max were stalking chipmunks, we have these pallets of bricks and the cats KNOW that's where the chipmunks live.

Groovin' aka Sleepin' Whenever I am in the chair here at the computer either Louie or joker has to be in it too. When I get up to go do something the other jumps up too. Then I have to switch chairs. They will not just lay in the vacant chair.. No they want mine! It makes no difference which chair I sit in. If you look close in each pic you can see my elbow! LOL

Cleaned Up. Natalie'c challenge.. My challenge to you is to start with a clean workspace. Take some time to put things away, then get out only what you will need for this layout and use it! What will you need? Well, I am challenging you to make a clean and simple layout. Use one solid background paper and minimal, not so busy accent papers. Try not to go crazy with embellishments, remember, clean and simple! Make your photos the center of attention on your layout. Basically, your layout should let the photos shine because the rest of it is clean and simple. I had this one picture of my DS Joe fishing, nothing to go with it, nothing from the same day, nothing of him that I could take away from a different set of pics.

The background is a cuttle bugged piece I got from someone else (no idea what the folders name is) I used all left over card stock from my last weeks project! The Stamp Set is God's beauty, ink is SU Grey and the centers of the flowers I touched with a brown Spica Glitter Pen Thank you Denise for the challenge! I like this sketch, I may use it again!
You're a Classic in soot!
FEB11VSNH. Julz (jafields76) challenged everyone to make a man card using the soot technique. The tutorial does warn ya about catching the card stock on fire! LOL I started out with a 5.25" x 4" piece! LOL I stamped the same car image inside the card. Thanks Julz, great challenge. Messy technique, but cool results!

FEB11VSNE WOW! This horrible little card! LOL I had her cut out this morning and just tossed it aside, I couldn't find the inspiration for this one at all! Michelle/Eliotstamps challenge is to make a card featuring a red dress in honor of heart health for women. The dress part was easy.... Nestie Label #8 in Black CB with tiny hearts, the white is CB with large hearts Cricut Cartridge I got from Holly ~ Independence Day for the lady. I colored her hair with SU Pastels

It's a Slang Thang!. The challenge was to find inspiration from a slang word from the 60's or 70's .. well I use the word DUDE a lot. When I woke Clint and Baby Dogg up they looked like the kids on That 70's Show when they get high... I even named our big horse Dude!

Cranberry and Lime The love story behind my Cousin Betsy's marriage is my ZEN it's so touching, they really got married the first weekend he had home after meeting. Betsy is in her 80's and amazes me! She has emailed me about her day.. she has joined a monthly SU group for card making, ( I even got one she made) goes to Curves, has her nails done and all that.. When I picture her, I see that girl in the photo. Even though I have a more current pic. Not too sure if that's cranberry, but it's the closest I could find. Step 1.. the critters do not abide by the Do Not Disturb rule. Especially Wilbur.. he's such a pest! Step 2.. Normally the Radio is on, or T.V. Step 3.. Dew on Ice! Step 4.. May fave sketch "45th anniversary by reedy - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers"

In The Groove My Groove is more likely to be Monochromatic color schemes and a sketch. I used the Cricut Old West Cartridge, 3 shades of brown card stock and brads I pulled out my scraps box for as much as possible. The photo corners are actually lower case 'r' from Old West.
