Vision Trip 2008

During the Vision Trip, you will get a chance to visit 3 or 4 microfinance clients.  This is one of the client visits taken last year in Chisinau, Moldova.

Talking with the client

You will be able to see the clients business and ask any questions you may have.

Second client visit

This is a third client visit to a bakery in the village.  You will get to see how clients like these have not only helped their family, but also their community.

Orheiul Vechi, also known as "Old Orhei", stretches along river Raut, which flows into the river Nistru (Dniestr) near Dubăsari further to the east. The more you get to the east, the deeper the river valley becomes. Here, the Răut is cutting into a thick layer of soft limestone.

The remoteness and beauty of the Moldovan countryside makes it an ideal place for erecting a monastery. Orthodox monks found out about that in the 13th century and founded the Manastire in Pestera (Cave Monastery).

Presentations by the executive director, founder, and local economist about the goals and vision of the microfinance organization.

Stretching for 250km, of which only 120km are currently in use, the Milestii Mici cellar complex is also the largest in the world. In 2007 Mileştii Mici wine cellars were noted in Guinness World Records 2007 Yearbook, for having the largest (2 million) wine collections in the world.
