Hi Everyone
My name is Camille groody
Im in 8th grade
Im running for president
Heres the thing WAMS
Im out to make WAMS the best middle school out there
So vote for me!
Throughout the history of WAMS each member of the student council has brought a unique quality to the school. Whether it is creativity, or leadership, management or construction, everyone has contributed a crucial but different trait to this great institution. As the great social ecologist Peter Drucker once aptly said, “Management is doing things right, but leadership is doing the right things,”. I hope to combine these two goals with my management skills and leadership qualities. I will always strive to do the right things in the right manner.
Being VP last year, I was able to accomplish multiple endevors, such as creating a suggestion box. Not only did we find good suggestions but also used chewing gum, leftover food, random rubber bands, and 100’s of suggestions stating how our school needed a hot tub. I was also able to add extra activities, like video games, ping pong, and more food to school dances if you didn’t want to get your groove on. And last but definitely not the least I worked tirelessly to improve sports nights, by making some of them with actual sports to play such as hockey and basketball.
If I am elected president this year I hope to sustain all my previous achievements wile striving to add new such as:
Organizing more frequent and more entertaining sports nights
Adding new activities to school dances such as karaoke and photo booths
hold at least 1 dance during school hours ( preferably during math, la, science and social study periods
And try to invite more dignitaries to give us inspirational lecture
In conclusion If you elect me, Rahul Wadhwa, for President, we can look forward to a better tomorrow. And hopefully Hot Tubs.
Hi, my name is Malcolm Cills and I want to be your president of the William Allen Middle School. The only way that can happen is with your vote. Why vote for me you ask? Here are a few things that, if I am elected, I will do my best to work with the necessary people to make happen.
I think the role of President isn’t about my ideas. It is about yours. I think it is more important to help others and work on behalf of the student body than to just think of the things I want to do.
So, a vote for Malcolm is a vote for you!
Thank you
Hi. My name is Soon-Hi Dempsher. I’m in the seventh grade and I am running for Student Council Vice-President. If you make me your choice I promise to be your voice in representing your concerns and wishes to make WAMS a better and more fun place for everyone.
If elected I promise that I will end all homework, end all tests, end the school year early for summer break, and have free soda breaks every day – JUST KIDDING!
I do promise you that I will represent you and be your voice to the teachers here at WAMS.
I am energetic, hard working, and passionate about everything I do. I enjoy softball, swimming and diving, piano, and 4H Club and I will be energetic and hard working in my job as Vice President for you.
WAMS is already a good school. It already offers very many activities and clubs but we can always make things better. Our playground seems empty. Maybe we could try to get more equipment out there. Maybe we could have a few days each month where the students could vote on what they would want for their favorite meals. Maybe we could have some more theme days throughout the year. I was surprised at how expensive the gym uniforms were. Maybe we could have a charitable drive to help pay for these uniforms for some of the student who might have trouble paying for them or have other charitable drives.
I have some ideas for our school but I wanted to let you know that if you make me your choice I’ll be listening and talking to you throughout the year to hear your ideas.
I can’t promise no homework, no tests, an early summer break, and free soda. I really wish I could. But I can promise to listen hard to you and work hard for you to make this our best year ever.
Please consider me, Soon-Hi Dempsher, for Vice President on Election Day.
Thank You.
Hi! My name’s Nicole Tsarouhas and I’m running for vice president this year. I want to be your 2010 to 2011 vice president because I really understand what you think about school- and I want to help make this school year a little better!
We all spend 7 hours a day, 5 days a week sitting in a classroom learning. All of us work hard and go home beat- not to mention worn out from sports and other activities. We LIVE for the weekend.
If I were vice president, I’d work hard to make sure our Friday nights are fun and something to really look forward to. I’d work with the council to plan all kinds of fun events: dances, fundraisers and more. Nothing is more un-rewarding than a boring weekend.
I’m hard working, reliable, motivated, friendly, and most importantly I like to have fun.
I would work as hard as I could, along with the president and the other members of student council to achieve the goals that YOU guys want.
If all this sounds good to you, you may want to start thinking about voting me, Nicole Tsarouhas, for vice president. Maybe I could help make this year a little fun! Have a great day, and don’t forget: vote for Nicole!
I, Melvin Sheppard, love and respect
Our school. I am happy to arrive each day and greet everyone as we enter our classrooms. Our happiness depends on each of us as we interact. Therefore I pledge to you that I will do all I can to support the school rules. And as vice president I will strive to encourage cooperation among fellow students and faculty by being a good example of that goal.
Vote for Melvin – a man who can make change
Some of you may know me, some of you may not. Right off the bat, I’d just like o say it is such a pleasure to meet all of you. My name is Kirk Zimmer and I would be honored to be your next Vice President. Some of you are probably wondering something like, “Why is this guy running for VP? Why should I waste my vote on him?” And my answer? Another school year has begun, and we have a lot of fun activities and social events to look forward to. As Vice President, I will be helping to plan these events, and I want to help make sure your voices are recognized. I want to implement all of your fantastic and brilliant ideas --- and turn fantasy into reality! Not so much like world of war craft, but you know what I mean. Kirk Z. for V.P! Let’s make it happen!
Vote for me , Jackie Skarbek as your new Vice President. Why? Because I will bring a new meaning to VP! I will be creative, work hard, and make middle school something to remember. I will fight for more time between classes. I mean raise your hand if you have rushed thru the halls, or your locker wouldn’t open. Yeah, it’s stressful. One more minute can change that. Also, ever get bored during recess? Or have you ever needed to get something organized? A optional study hall during recess would be a great time to work. Anyone like dancing… 24 hours straight? A dance-a-thon fundraiser for various charities would be a good cause and a lot of fun! Remember vote for me, Jackie Skarbek. Thank You!
Hi everyone!
My name is Drew Campbell, and I’m running for the position of WAMS Vice President. Last year in seventh grade, I was a homeroom rep, and I absolutely loved it. I learned a lot from my experience on student council, especially what it takes to be a great vice president!
If elected, I have some ideas on how we can make this a great year for everyone! First of all, who didn’t love field day in elementary school?? I would love to plan something similar for us 7th and 8th graders! As your VP, I would also love to hear what ideas you might have!
Thanks for listening, and remember- VOTE DREW C. FOR VP!!!
Good morning teachers and students.
My name is Baraka Wilson from room D9. I am hoping to win the vice president position of our school’s student council. I am happy to attend William Allen Middle School. I am part of school baseball team, the Blueprint Club and Moorestown recreation baseball and football teams so many of you know me personally. Because of my exposure to team sports, I know what it takes to work with others. I consider myself to be a fair person and a good friend. I will help our new President make decisions.
I want to fix the common needs of our school and give my full support to our President. I will help make decisions that will benefit our school, and enforce new ideas. I will try to get the administration to give us more elective choices.
If you vote for me this will be one of your more memorable school years. If anyone ever needs their problems about school discussed with teachers or administration I can do it. I am dependable, smart and responsible. Vote for me and you won’t be sorry. This is why you should vote me for vice president.
I really care about the school, and I want to make the William Allen Middle School an incredible and fun place for you. For a while, I've been learning some basic concepts about finance, such as how to organize a balance sheet.
However, it is not aboutjust countingthe money, it is how well we use the money to improve the school. We are living in very difficult economic times for many people. As treasurer, I would work very hard to sure make each dollar is spent wisely.
As the Student Council decides on projects, I would try to get as much input from as many students as possible. I would organize the money for dances, service projects, and other activities. If you vote for me, I would work very hard to make the school even better for you. Thank you!
Hello there, fellow students. For those of you who do not know, my name is Dylan Hagerty, and I am running for treasurer. I will be available to listen to anybody who wishes to talk to me about any financial issues, and remember, YOUR concerns are MY concerns. I am running for treasurer because my friends and family are always telling how great I am with money and my math with money #1. I hope the fact that I am a 7th grader doesn’t decrease the number of votes I might get. I will do my best to be a team with the student council, but more importantly with YOU!, my fellow students. We are the people of the school, and now is our time to show it. I will try to raise money through fund raisers that will be fun for every body. For instance, bake sales, the school store, and also, any fun ideas you guys might have. I will keep incredibly careful track of every CENT that comes in and goes out of this school’s budget, and that’s a promise. I will work, with YOUR HELP, and YOUR INPUT, and the rest of the student council to make this the best school year I can… no…the best school year WE CAN!
Thank you for your time and consideration!
Hello, My name is Alex Martin and I am running for treasurer. There are many reasons why I am a great choice as your treasurer. One reason is that I am extremely good with numbers. I am in advanced math and can calculate large numbers quickly. Next, I have a great deal of knowledge on how to spend money and save it. In addition, I am well organized and I will always record all of the important information. As your treasurer, I will work extremely hard that our money is carefully managed. As a friend to many of you I will do my very best to represent our class and your interests and goals. Finally, I am very trustworthy and will come to all of the meetings.
There are a number of reasons why I am very interested in helping our school as your treasurer:
· First, I have lived in Moorestown my entire life and have always been interested in how all of the activities were planned and managed. I will be committed to continue to work hard as one of your leaders to insure that our school is the best it can be.
· Secondly, Moorestown public schools have given me a great education and I want to use this opportunity to give back and to help our school.
· Last, as a school we have always strived to be the best. As your treasurer I believe we will be the best.
When I think of the perfect treasurer I imagine a kid will long blonde hair (or as some of you say shiny), smart, about 5ft 4, 115 pounds, and most importantly a Kodak smile! J
So in conclusion, if you want someone to get the work done, vote for someone else, if you want someone to get the work done well vote for me!
Hi I’m Edison Piccone. I will be running for the position of secretary. I am very well qualified for this position for a number of reasons.
First off I am a very good student here at WAMS. My grades continue to be good and I have very few run-ins with the principle. Also I was very involved in the student council program last year as a homeroom rep. I went to every single work committee and heavily encouraged the student in my homeroom to go to as many of the fun school activities as possible. I would really like to obtain this position because I really enjoy spending time after school to help other students enjoy their time at WAMS.
I really like to be involved as possible and I like to contribute my ideas to events and activities the school holds. I was very positively influenced by the program last year, and will hopefully be able to help the new 7th graders have as a great of an experience at WAMS as me. And also for all the eight graders who went to the dances last year, I will try to get a new DJ and a lot of good songs for obvious reasons.
So if you wan to pick the right choice vote for me, Mr. Piccone. You wont regret it.
Hi! My name is Julie Baum and I am running for secretary.
Because I am in 7th grade, people may not think that I would qualify for being your secretary. Maybe they don’t know that I’m responsible, hardworking, or good enough to fulfill the duties of being secretary
Not only that do I have those qualities, but I am kind-hearted, caring, fun, and I am just like you. I think that I can add some value to this year by becoming secretary. I believe that I would be perfect for the job.
As secretary, it is my duty to write the outline of the agenda for student council and to write thank you notes to the school dance chaperones, janitors, etc. It is also my job to bring up good ideas for the student council, ideas that will encourage you to become more active in school related activities.
I would try my best to make each dance and school activity a little bit more to your liking so that you will want to take part in these activities. I will also suggest new and different ways for students to get together and make friends by doing what they like. Hopefully students will enjoy the school year a little bit more than last year, and I would always be happy to get your opinion on what should or should not be improved.
If students are uncomfortable with a certain detail, I can bring it up during the next student council meeting. Even during the meetings I will complete my responsibilities as secretary, and while being there I will try my hardest to make meetings more fun and worthwhile. Being secretary isn’t only having a title.
The student council works hard to make sure students are enjoying themselves, and we are
always looking for new things to introduce to our school. I understand that I have to work to become secretary, and I will try my hardest to make this year unforgettable.
Like you, I want to have fun this year, and if you elect me, I will try to make this year very exciting. What you think of the activities is what matters. I care about your opinion, because you are the ones who can elect me into office, and because I honestly do car
We are all a part of this school and we deserve to have a reason to like it. I feel that running for secretary is a good experience for me, and I enjoy it very much. You should vote for me because I enjoy being secretary, and I am not one of those people running only to see if they will win. And if they do, what will you expect of them? You may or may not expect much from me, but I know one thing is for sure: you will get a great year!

Speech for Student Council
Hi. My name is Kyle Blaskovich. I moved here from Cinnaminson five months ago. Some people may not know me because I am new to Moorestown. Allow me to introduce myself, and why I want to be Secretary for Student Council. I am an energetic and easy-going guy. I have always enjoyed the fellowship associated with a team atmosphere. I have excelled at challenging myself with new and different opportunities.
I wanted to participate in Student Council to become more involved in our school activities. I have experience in note taking, as I have volunteered to be the secretary of our class group projects. Clear and concise note taking is probably one of the most important tasks to do. This is why I have chosen to run for Secretary of Student Council. Secondly, it will allow me to help convey our Student Council meeting agenda to the student body and present your ideas back to the Student Council. I will do my job thoroughly and to the best of my abilities. I am very honest and trustworthy. I am detail oriented. Make the right choice by choosing Kyle Blaskovich for Secretary of Student Council.
Good morning and hello WAMS. I’m Katie Varela and I’m running for secretary for this year’s executive office. Now I’m not going to promise you soda in the water fountains and free candy everyday at lunch if you make me secretary. Because even though those things would be really cool, they are quite impractical. The only thing that I can guarantee you, is that I will do my best to help improve this school as much as possible.
If I were to be elected secretary, here’s a few ideas I have. I believe that it is important to recognize the hard work that goes into the school dances and other get-to-gethers. As secretary, I would write thank you notes to the volunteers who have helped out at the activities. In years past, these kind people have gotten little or no recognition for their hard work. I would make sure that they would each get the thank you that they deserve.
Writing the agenda for the student council meetings would be one of my responsibilities as secretary. I would try to write out a good agenda for the meetings covering many topics. The more topics we cover in the meetings, the more things like dances, movie nights and fundraisers we can improve on here at WAMS. Sometimes just a little change, like adding in that extra minute to discuss what songs we want to play at the dance, can be very important in the end. I mean come on, who wants to be dancing to the YMCA at every school dance?
So please consider me, Katie Varela, for secretary. And remember, the V stands for VICTORY.
Hi Everyone…
My name is Alli Rohrbach and I am running for Student Council Secretary.
As your Secretary, I would be responsible for attending all of the Student Council meetings, and making sure there are a good set of notes from all of these meetings.
Also, it would be my job to send thank you notes to the parents and all other people who help out at our school during the year.
Most importantly, as your secretary, I would represent all of you when the School Administration and the Student Council meet to make decisions.
So why should you vote for me?
· I’m very interested in getting involved in student government.
· I understand this position, and I think I would be very good at it.
· I’m dependable, a good listener, and I know the 7th and 8th graders.
My name is Alli Rohrbach.
I want everyone to get Fired Up and vote for me for Student Council Secretary.
I’m just sayin’!
