Here you'll find pictures from all of the fun activities we do throughout the school year. You can print them off, save them or just take a peek at them. If you have some great pictures of your class, let me know and I can come down to your room and add them to this site.
The holidays bring so much joy and laughter throughout the halls of WCES that it's hard not to have a good time, no matter what you believe or celebrate. You see children and staff dressed in goofy sweaters and hats walking down the hall to the sound of the jingle bells on their socks. It's great to be a witness and participant of.
The parties went off without a hitch and the entire building was in a good mood. You simply can't say that EVERY day...EVERYONE was in a good mood! I hope your family holiday was as fun as the school holiday. See you next year!
Thank you to the members of the Veteran's Day Committee for all of the hard work to make this assembly memorable. I always get teary eyed when I hear the poems, songs, and essay readers. It is amazing that all of these kids know what Veteran's Day is and how important of a holiday it is for the United States Service Men and Women. To hear the compassion and gratitude in their voices creates a warm feeling in my heart and the Veteran's hearts as well, I'm sure. I'm so happy that Wright City places such an emphasis on this special day. Thank you to all the veteran's for everything they do to keep our country safe.
Boy whoever said Halloween was only for kids needs to rethink that statement. Many teachers had a good time on Thursday dressing up. Try to guess which teacher is which.
All week long my kiddos picked on me because it was difficult for me to say all of my R's in "red ribbon week." I'm not sure why, but I felt the need to say it like Elmer Fudd. So, we had a few laughs at the end of our day.
Anyway, this week was a very successful one. The students of WCES enjoyed dressing up and seeing the wackiness that the teachers have inside them. When drugs are discussed, the students seem aware of how their lives can be affected and I truly believe that the kiddos all have a goal of staying away from them. Gosh, our kids are smart.
Thank you to all that had their hair colored. Boy did the crowd go crazy with this activity. I recall one student saying to me, "Dr. Pearlman did look a bit like Charlie Brown before going in and now he looks a bit like the Great Pumpkin." (could you guess whose student that was? LOL)
