This is the central place of communication for our team this season. On this site, you'll find the team roster and parent contact information, schedule for the season, snack schedule, and player availability. You'll also be able to post pictures and videos to share with other parents.
Hi everyone. Just wanted to let everyone know that we have got a definite date for the Paws Playin' for Paws charity event.
April 27 (Saturday) starting @ 5pm. Gates will open at 4pm. This year we will have the middle school girls lacrosse team joining us. I will be putting some flyers in our HANDOUTS section. Please feel free to print these out and start getting them hung all over West York and surrounding areas. The more people we can reach out to and let know about the event the more $$$ we can raise.
The attachment named "FLYER" is what needs to be hung. I am uploading a letter size attachment and a legal size. Please print out whatever works best for you.
Just an FYI - they charge to attend the games at Susquehannock!

HS Girls Lacrosse Players
In an effort to help you during this time of transition in coaching at the high school, I will be hosting open fields off site throughout the remainder of the summer and into the fall. The focus will be to continue to develop individual skills (stick work and agility/foot work) along with working on team concepts (both settled and transition situations offensively and defensively). I will have a specific and detailed agenda accounting for every dedicated minute you are there. The agenda will be shared and reviewed at the start of each session so everyone knows what the specific goals are for the day. With the great group of girls playing lacrosse within West York, I truly believe we can compete with the best teams in York county! To do so, we need to continue to work in the offseason on the basics. The more time you put in, along with your teammates, the more success you and the Team will have come next spring!
I have set Monday and Wednesday July 16th and 18th as our first two dates. Time will be 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. The level of interest and turnout will determine how we move forward with the schedule from that point. Please be sure to bring your stick, mouth guard, eye protection, WATER, and a reversible pinnie (if you don't have a reversible pinnie please bring a white and dark colored shirt) for any scrimmaging we might do. The location will be Colony Papers at 1776 Colony Drive (located behind the West Manchester Mall). It is important that you do not enter their parking lot or block the entrance to the parking lot. Please park along Colony Drive even if you are just dropping off and/or picking up. I will have a goal or two for our use along with balls and cones. I will also have the field lined as well.
I have tried to include all the girls that play, but I know I have missed a few. Please pass the word or even forward this email to others to make sure everyone is aware. I know I do not have contact information for the following: Keke Wray, Amber Updegraff, and Brittany Ampriester. If anyone has their email please advise. If you know of anyone that would like to start playing lacrosse that is entering 9-12th grade please share this information with them as this is a great opportunity to give it a try and see if lacrosse is a fit. Also, with girls soccer going to the fall there might be some additional interest from there as well. Please check in with your friends that normally played soccer in the spring.
There will be 3-4 coaches to help; given we may have 35-40 girls there! For those girls that are entering 7th and 8th grades, you are welcome to join us as well!
I hope to see you at Colony Papers at 6:00 pm on Monday the 16th! (If I need to cancel for bad weather or any other reason I will send an email no later than two hours prior to the start time.)
Feel free to contact me with any questions.
