My friend Gina was on the board of the Orange County chapter of the American Cancer Society. She was selected to attend the National Relay for Life on the Washington Mall. Kay and I could not let Gina loose in the "big city" all by herself. So, Gina had "official" escorts for this trip.
We stayed a few extra days and had a great time. We literally wore each other out. By the end of the trip, even Gina was signaling taxis...
You could stay in Washington a month and still not see everything. Hopefully, we will be back. Washington is another place every American should visit to appreciate our history and freedom.
