We found out last night that Joe's older brother who has been battling lung cancer is not doing to well The cancer might have spread to his liver, and his daughter Gianna is getting married Sept 24. With all the heat you have been having, I really bet you do! It is just right here for us this summer, a lot on the cool side, which is fine with me! Jamie, Great Orca shot! Yes, I would for sure be interested in going on an orca sightseeing boat trip! It is so close to home yet I have just not done it! I have been on two humpback whale trips out of Depoe Bay, Oregon, and saw whales, but never orcas, which we live so close to! I am in for the orca trip! It says you save $20.00 bucks when you order on line, at least only one week ahead of time! Deb

I just had a small amount of time, so stayed in Kenai Fjord. That page is so beautiful. I loved seeing the seals, popins, porpoises (I thought they looked great!), Whales, and scenery are just gorgeous. I've been on your site before, but didn't get to this page. It's wonderful! They all are. Alaska Tourism Board should hire you guys! i don't have sound right now, so Will check out the video again...with sound. Thanks for my visit to the fjord.

Your Header says it all. I'd love to go! (had family who lived there. Family dog got lost. Little 6 year old got into her Barbie car in the dark & cold, and went to find her dog. They were organizing a search party for her, & here comes Cheyenne back "towing" her dog with a piece of yarn in her little Barbie car! Think that girl will be able to do anything she wants as she grows up. They were in service & lived in area with permanent dusk/dark & COLD for part of the year.) I want to see YOUR Alaska.

I was just thinking about your site.It appears you are interested in some of the same subject matter as I. I also like to travel and record my experiences. If you have the opportunityyou might have the opportunity to travel to the Canadian Rockies in British Columbia,Northern Minnesota and around Lake Superior,and an Island in The Carribbean Sea called Grenada where the people LOVEAmericans. It is not commercialized. The people know when the "One armed guy with the Cowboy hat" arrives at the airport and look for me on the beech the following day.Barb and I are considered residents.We truly love the Grenadian people. The Rum is good too. I have visited the 12 X 24 Mile island 4 times and have only seen a 1/3of it. I wish didgital cameras were available then. See ya!

I always thought that was why we take vacations to relax and chill out.  The meaning of vacation is a period of rest from work, study, etc.  And yet we don't do chores or have to cook and still it tires us out.

Lisa!! No big deal....my daughter eats salad... the cucumbers go here, the carrots go there..etc... My Son, eats salad first, then when that's clean, he puts the next item on his plate, when that's clean..then the next! ha! He eats lots of stuff..just in some kind of order. I rarely reveal that I am a picky eater to people because it makes them shake their heads or stop wanting to tell me about the fun dinners they ate. I love to watch people eat salad, they make it look so good. But when I eat salad I eat it dry with no tomatoes :) I have food where ever I go and I never let the food get in the way, I don't complain.

It's true I am a picky eater :( but I do love crab, not sure where that came from. I love shrimp too!! I don't like foods mixed together :) I know you're shaking your heads but I can't help it. I have tried, really! I am not a fan of sauces or dressings! I prefer to eat my crab or shrimp by themselves with no dipping sauces. I have been known to eat crab dip, has to be hot off the stove though. I love veggies by themselves but not mixed up :)

Love the Vancouver page and this place I can say 'hey that looks familiar'. Love the coffee break pictures and the arriving in Vancouver is great!! I saw one of the painted eagles too!! Granville Island was one of my favorites.

We saw so many Eagles in Ketchikan...they would follow the incoming boats to see what fish they had caught! It is a great 'play' stop! I loved it...so much to do from walking the city to just bunch of extras! We did the Dealiest Catch boat here....I would love to go back to Ketchikan! ...and what a fantastic clock!! :0)

Inside Passage is awesome, very peaceful looking, love the pictures!! But Ketchikan has caught me!! I love the buildings and the interaction, the starfish would have pushed me over the edge of excitement!!! I would have loved every second of that. I loved all the pictures, bear sighting was hilarious and the stairs was very funny. That and the whales are my favorite :)

Hey Jamie!! Wow...Your Juneau...looked a lot like our day there too...the drizzly kind of day! I really liked Juneau...and would have liked more time there! Your Whales Breaching is so Great!! Wow..to see two of them! When we would see the spray...especially against those green trees...I almost had to remind myself to keep breathing!! I just didn't want to miss...what ever was going to happen after that spray!! LOL!!

This morning I was in Glacier Bay!! woo Hoo!!...and I liked it.. a lot, a lot!! The eagle on the Glacier..very cool! and I like the glacier that has the water pouring out! Wasn't the water so nice and calm?! Wow...Kay's cheeks are quite rosey! cute!! What a great day...and I bet that one was easy on Linda's knee too! :0)

Really though...this is a beautiful page, and only because I've been up there - to know the depts of some of the mountains scenes and how majestic they look, and then with a Glacier coming through - - Great Pictures!! I think my favorites are the ones where the sky clears up, waters are clam and the reflections just fill up the whole picture frame!! And the Water Falls....I thought they were so amazing...and Everywhere!! It's great!

 You have made an amazing travel site...WOW. I love the layout and all the photos you have shared.
I revamped my travel site just a bit. First of all because I was bored and need to clean up. Second because I will add several pages from my upcoming cruise. I already have the 2 sites and making a third one would be way to much for me.
 For me I will just dedicate a page for each city/port of call. Plus I want to be able to visit my S/F friends and having 3 sites is just way too much. Kudos on the amazing work you are doing here. Plus your other sites rocks as well.

Some of my personal favorites are the header on the Seward page it looks like a postcard.  Beautiful.  The photo of St. Peter's church, Resurrection Bay, Six Mile River and of course all the flowers & waterfalls.  Just breathtaking....  Are you sure you are'nt  a Pro?

Glacier Bay was soooo beautiful today! It was rainy and foggy for most of the trip in. Suddenly right before we arrived at the glaciers, the rain let up and the fog lifted. AWESOME!!! It was snowing on some of the peaks. Man-o-man are we missing the Texas heat.... NOT!
Skagway tomorrow, we are taking the cell phones out of the safe and will try to call.......
It's 10pm, I just stepped out on the balcony and there is not a light in sight. Weird.....

This morning we are entering Glacier Bay. So far, we have seen about 6 whales, a sea otter, and an eagle. The temp is about 54, but it is damp and windy. So we have a lot of layers on.
Update: Kay just spotted another whale. :)

We had crab quiche last night.....  That makes another day of crab..... :) :) :)

Hi Everyone!!!
Yesterday, we drove from Seward to Whittier. First, we took a 6 hour tour of Prince William Sound and then boarded the Diamond Prince. Had crab cakes for lunch...... :) We again had beautiful weather and saw lots of glaciers and sea otters.

We had another nice day today! :) The weather was beautiful!!! Saw a sea otter from our hotel window this morning.
Started the day with a drive on Bear Creek road looking for bear. No luck yet.... But it was fun watching the salmon trying to swim up steam. Mom felt sorry for them.....
After that we hiked at Exit Glacier. Kay and I hiked the handicap trail with Mom to the glacier view point. From there, Kay and I hiked the trail to the edge of the glacier. It was awesome!
For lunch, we ate at a dive Kim told us about call Thorn's Showcase. Really good fried halibut, "bucket of buts".
Next on the agenda was the Alaska Sealife Center. Saw fish, puffins, other birds, and a sea lion up close.
Later on we took a drive to Lowell Point. Saw a sea otter in the water. They are soooo cute.
Made a quick stop for supplies at Safeway. Had to have a Starbucks coffee to give us a jump start. (Yes..... I was wired.)
Had dinner at Chinooks again. Coconut crab cakes and king crab legs. Yummmm!!!
Finishing the day doing laundry.... YUCK!! :)

Yesterday, we did the Northwestern Fjord cruise (9 hours) with Kenai Fjord Tours. We all agree it was outstanding! We were worried about being seasick, but had no problems. Saw humpback whales, orca whales, sea otters, sea lions, harbor seals, starfish, horn puffins, tufted puffins, glaciers, waterfalls, and so much more. It was truly an AWESOME day!!!

We finished the exhausted but had a nice seafood dinner at Ray's on the waterfront.

Mom's knees are killing her, so we are going to try taking it easy on her today......

Well, here's the story......
Mom and Kay think I'm ignoring them if I play or work on the iphone. I'm allowed to send pictures but not constantly check email or text..... Have to sneak in email or text time.
We had the best time today. Spent the morning in Anchorage doing a little shopping. Then for the remainder of the day, we took our time driving the Seward Highway. BEAUTIFUL!!!! We have laughed and laughed at each other.
What a great day! :)
