Wide Open Spaces - Alaska 2009 - Anchorage

Anchorage Notes

With a three hour time difference, we were very tired our first full day in Alaska.  We took our time having breakfast at the hotel and loading our mountain of luggage into the rental vehicle.

First stop was Earthquake Park for views of the Anchorage skyline.  Next up, we checked out the Ship Creek salmon viewing platform.  Even on a Wednesday morning, the fishermen were lined up trying their luck.  After shopping for supplies and lunch, we headed out for our first taste of the Alaska outdoors on the Seward highway!
