Our home is full of little boys these days...what a fun blessing they are! With Marshall, Logan, and Graham, and there is never a dull moment at the Williams House!
Brett's mom, "Nana", was able to come up to Colorado with us for a few days. This year, we were there for two weeks.
Some friend of ours snapped this pic with their "fancy" camera...I really need to get one of those. It makes my pics looks like polaroids!
Marshall was a member of the Blue Fins Swim Team at the Houstonian this summer, and ended up with several blue ribbons in Freestyle and Backstroke!
At Graham's six month photo shoot (no digital available) the big brothers showed off their Superhero skills!
Graham is our first thumb sucker and "blankie" lover!
Have you ever seen more mud on two boys???
An annual summer tradition!
And check out all my teeth! He's working on his 9th tooth...he'll be eating steak soon!!
Marshall auditioned and got a speaking role and solo in his school's musical "In God We Trust." He had not one nervous bone in his body!
Where has this year gone?? Although I've attempted to keep up with taking pictures, I've been terrible about sharing them! So, here are a few highlights of our 2011 and a few notes on where we are now. :)
Graham is now almost 10 months old and has been such a precious and fun addition to our family...he fits right in with the Williams Boys! He's got a huge smile and belly laugh, although he's sometimes stingy with sharing them. :) He's a big fan of his blue "blankie" and his thumb! He started crawling back in June (about the time school was out, so he could keep up with his big brothers, I'm sure). Now that school has started up, he is enjoying his mommy time, but sure misses the big guys.
Logan is four and started Pre-K three days a week this year (gulp) at FBA with Marshall, but has absolutely loved it. He is still by far our "silliest" Williams Boy, and once declared himself the "Party in the Middle". :) At the same time, he says the most the sincere and thoughtful prayers, and has grown up so much just in the last few months.
Marshall is now seven (and a HALF) and in 2nd Grade and thinks it's the coolest (particularly since they get to use an Ipad in class...and oh, they have a class pet guinea pig named Toby). He loves anything with sports or legos or Star Wars or Mario Brothers, and he LOVES being a big brother. He is honestly the most patient person in the house.
Brett is doing awesome being a hubby and a daddy and, at the same time, working so very hard and serving so much. In August, we celebrated our 10 Year Anniversary, and were able to take a fabulous trip to Santa Barbara. We can't wait to see what the next 10 years have in store for us. :)
Two weeks ago, Brett's precious "Mawmaw" Ludtke went home to the Lord. She was 93, and, as Brett said at her memorial service, "Never had a bad day." She was the most joyful, optimistic person you would ever meet, and we will miss her dearly. We're so thankful that our big boys were able to know her, as she lived just around the corner. A few days before she passed, Brett had taken all 3 boys over to her house after their Saturday donut run. What a precious lady...we know it was quite a celebration in Heaven when she arrived!
As always, we are so very thankful for our friends and family, and grateful for the love and prayers you send our way. Love to all,
Kim
What a fun season we are in right now with the boys! Sweet times. Difficult to believe that Marshall is now six and winding down Kindergarten. Logan will be three in just three weeks, but, of course, thinks he is six, too. They are still the best of buds. Here are a few pics from our chilliy Houston winter and a crazy fun Spring so far.
Winter flew by with Marshall's Basketball, a road-trip to OKC to see Grammy, and Logan learning to back float and do "big arms" at swimming. Our annual trip to the Houston Rodeo included Marshall's first try at "Mutton Bustin", where he held on the full 6 seconds! Logan is "training" for next year. :)
The bluebonnets arrived, and Marshall became an official Tball player (Go Bats!) and even earned the game ball last week for 2 doubles...I know, I'm bragging. Logan often practices with the team, and is SO intense! We've had some fun ranch trips here and there...my boys would live outside if they could, and never want to leave the ranch. You'll even see a pic or two of the first campout!
Over Easter weekend, we traveled to Keystone, CO for our first family ski trip (it's a "trip", not a "vacation" as we always say with kid travel). Yes, we were nuts...but it really was fun to see the boys get so excited about snow. And Marshall is now a better skier than me (and definitely braver). What an exhausting trip...but great memories.
The Williams are looking forward to enjoying the summer...and we would love to see you all soon! God has been so good to us...we're so thankful for the blessing of YOU, our friends and family. Hope you enjoy the pics!
We begin 2010 with very thankful hearts...realizing all the blessings of 2009.
Our family is finally feeling a little more settled into our new house and we are loving it! And we're getting into the rhythm of school, which has been a big change, but fun. Marshall has loved Kindergarten, and Logan has loved having more of mommy's attention. Soccer was hilarious and fun, and Marshall did awesome, and Daddy was a super coach! Logan is a super funny little 2-year old, with no fear and a great desire to be "BIG". Mommy used her training of chasing after Logan, and completed my second half-marathon here in Houston in October.
The best day of the year was on December 4th, when it SNOWED over an inch in Houston, which NEVER happens. That day was Polar Express Day for the FBA Kindergarten, so Marshall got to go to school in jammies, drink hot chocolate while watching the movie, and build a gingerbread house...then go play in the snow! Marshall claimed it to be the best day of his life!
Our Christmas was wonderful at our new home, and we are looking forward to what the new year will bring. We're looking forward to some time in Oklahoma in a week or so, then our first family ski trip to Utah this winter. Marshall will be turning 6 in a couple weeks and is playing Basketball...some great home video moments! Logan just started swim lessons and he should be doing the back stroke by summer! :) What sweet times.
I pray that all our friends and family had a wonderful holidays and will have a wonderful 2010!
Love,
Kim
What a summer! We are finally moved into our new home, and we absolutely love it. How fun to be in a new house but back "home"...to our friends and neighbors, our parks, backyard, etc. We are truly thankful. The boys love all the room...and especially their "clubhouse", which is an attic loft connecting their rooms.
The move went well, and we are slowly getting settled in. I have posted a few pictures of the house from the morning we moved in, but don't have many with our "stuff" in it. While we're almost all unpacked, I've waited to do "decorating" until after school starts...which is in just a few short days!
This summer has been wonderful. Check out the highlight pics if you have a moment! We've made a few day trips and had many fun outings...but also had lots of fun "do nothing" days at home. Our annual trip to Beaver Creek was wonderful, and a much needed break from the crazy heat this summer.
This next Tuesday, the 18th, my amazing husband Brett and I will celebrate our 8th anniversary (more in love today!) and see our first baby, Marshall, head off to Kindergarten at First Baptist Academy. Yes, I've already shed some tears...such a milestone. But he is so excited and really ready to start, which brings me great joy! Pray for Logan...I think he might miss Marshall as much as I will each day!
Hope to catch up more with you all soon. We have plenty of room for visitors so we would love to see you! Love to all,
Kim & the boys
After almost 9 months in our cozy apartment, it is almost time for us to move "back home" to 6627 Grovewood! We are only about 3-4 weeks away from moving back in, and we can't wait. The boys are most excited about their "clubhouse"...a loft that connects over their bedrooms. We are so very grateful for the whole process as we have actually enjoyed building this house, and can't wait to make it home.
So sorry for all the pics at once...I've been meaning to send some out forever. It's been such a fun year so far. We had wonderful holidays, and then an extra fun trip with our in-laws to California in February (see Disneyland pics!). Spring brought a fun Easter, bluebonnets, and watching our house go up. Brett also completed his first Triathalon (GO BRETT!!), and Marshall graduated from preschool (boo hoo!).
Marshall is growing up so much, and is a fantastic big brother. Logan is quite a little talker and hilarious...he does all he can to be just like his big brother. And they are inseparable! I know I'll say this at each stage, but they are just precious right now.
We are enjoying this summer with lots of fun outings and looking forward to our annual trip to Beaver Creek in July. Before we know it, Kindergarten will be starting for Marshall in August!
Hope you enjoy the pics! Love to all,
Kim
This fall has definitely been an adventure for our family. As you know, our home was flooded in Hurricane Ike...actually due to the large number of tree debris that blocked our drainage. Although it wasn't much water, it was enough to ruin the floors and make it unlivable. For a month, we lived with Brett's parents, which turned out to be such a sweet time with them. We then moved into an apartment, which has been interesting, but Marshall and Logan love it!
After lots of deliberation and prayers, we have decided to have our house torn down, and build a new home! We have almost finalized plans and we are very excited! We loved our location for so many reasons: great neighbors, close to family and work and church, parks and sidewalks, etc. We feel abundantly blessed!
We're looking forward to spending Thanksgiving this week with Mom and Kelli, and preparing for an exciting Christmas with two extra FUN little boys!
Love to all!
Kim
