My Mom and Dad think I'm smart!
So, I really like shapes and numbers...and letters...and animals...and learning new stuff. I have a puzzle and it has a circle, square, triangle, rectangle and other shapes. I found out one of those shapes was an octagon and another one was a pentagon. I also found out that red sign at the end of roads that mommy and daddy stop at is called an octagon too. I like finding shapes when I am out and about. The other day we were riding in the car and I was eating a graham cracker. I told mommy it was a square. She seemed impressed, so I bit off the corners and told her it was an octagon. She was super impressed! So was daddy! I also made sure she knew that red sign she stops at was an octagon too.
Today, my brother showed off for the sitters. She gave him his bottle and he held it for her all by himself. She was so impressed she took a picture and sent it Mama. (I didn't tell her that he's been doing it for a few days now--the sitter, I mean!) He is also trying really hard to get on his knees. He thinks I'm kind of funny too. He was laughing at me when I was jumping around. It just made me want to make him laugh more. I think he's gonna be cool to have around (as long as he doesn't mess with my stuff!)
I got to see my Papa and Cousin Shayne today. Shayne was excited because I said her name. I guess it was the first she heard me say it. I am so happy they came by. But, I miss them.
Oh, the other thing I did today...I was sitting with Mommy and I was eating a graham cracker. I finished it and wanted another one...I told her "Mama, hold on! Minute" and got down, got a stool to get another graham cracker. She tells me hold on and wait a minute a lot, so I thought I would tell her the same thing. She helped me get a cracker, because they were in the pantry not on the counter.

I hijacked his website...he he he! He told me I wasn't big enough to post on here yet, but I watched him very carefully the last time he posted and NOOOWWW I'm here to tell you all about ME! He thinks he's so cool, playing with that Mommy and Daddy's Ipods and stuff...well, I've been watching Baby Einstein too! So...Let's see...where to begin?
Since I've been born, Mama and Daddy say things have been kind of crazy. Apparently, we moved to a new town, Mama and Daddy started new jobs, and we have new people to meet. I slept in Mama and Daddy's room for a while, but then they put me in my own room, with MY OWN BED!! I really like my bed and my giraffe and dragon friends that sleep with me every night. I still don't sleep all night long, but I am sleeping more and more. Mama and Daddy say they are ready for me to sleep all night, I don't know why...I like hanging out with them in the middle of the night, it's fun and they feed me! Mama started giving me baby food a couple of weeks ago. That stuff is good! My favorite so far is a toss up between bananas and sweet potatoes.
My brother has a birthday soon. I'm not sure what that is, I think it is the day you were born, but I already had mine. It was a looonnng day. I don't know if I want to have another one! Anyway, I digress...we get to go see Nanny and Papa. I think my Granddaddy and Gramma are gonna be there too! I haven't seen them since Christmas, so I am excited.
Anyway, when I can get the Ipad away from Will, I will post again! Have a good night, better go to sleep since I have to wake Daddy up in a few hours to eat!
So...I'm baaacckk!
Hey everyone. I have been gone for a really long time...sorry. So much has been going on since I last wrote in September. As you all know, I have a little brother now. He is pretty cool. He used to not do a whole lot except sleep and cry, but he is starting to do more stuff, like turn over, jabber (Mama says he's talking like I did, but I don't know what he's saying yet!), smile a lot and he laughs at me a lot. I try to help Mama and Daddy with him by giving him his paci, telling him it's okay when he cries I say, "It ohay Awex", throwing away his diapers, and keeping the cats away from him. He doesn't say thank you though. Mama and Daddy make me say thank you all the time...oh well. I guess he's too little. Hey, I know my numbers and some of my letters. I know circle, square, triangle, and star too. I know red, green, blue, yellow, and sometimes purple (it looks like blue to me). I know my animal sounds too. My favorite is the cow! MOOO! LOL! That is so funny....oh! sorry!. I sleep in my big boy bed now too. I love my big boy bed. I try to get Mama and Daddy to sleep with me, but they only stay for a few minutes. That's okay though, I have Monkey to keep me company. I'm gonna be two years old in 12 days! Woo hoo! Mama says I am a big boy! I know it too, cuz she lets me help her fix my food and clean in the kitchen. I love opening the microwave for her and taking the dishes out of the dishwasher. I also have my own stool to stand on to brush my teeth and brush my hair. She won't let me brush my teeth by myself yet, that makes me mad! But, she does get them cleaner than I do...so I guess I understand.
SO we live in a town called Salisbury now. I have two sitters that come to my house while Mama and Daddy work. Their names are Claudia (Cau Cau) and Erica. I like it when they come over. They are fun to play with. Sometimes I go to their house and have fun with Erica's little sisters. I got jump in a pile of leaves for the first time at Erica's house. It was sooo fun!
I know I have to update pictures really soon. I promise I will. I just need to get Mama and Daddy to let me borrow their phones! (Which I use them all the time to play with the cool apps!) My favorite is the Duplo Brick Racer game and Baby Einstein! Ok, I better go. Erica thinks I'm taking a nap. She might freak if she saw me on the computer. Talk to you later!
August!
Oh BOY! What a crazy month this has been! Mama went back to work, Daddy was still looking for a job and THEN...Mama started feeling funny and went to the hospital. She had the baby that was in her tummy taken out! Now I have a brother. I am not sure what that means, but there is this little person in my house now and he cries a lot. When he cries, I try to let Mama and Daddy know by crying too. I got to spend a week with Gramma and Granddaddy. We went to the mountains in the camper and then spent time at their house. I got to ride the tractor, play on the swing set, play in the sand box, eat lots of goodies and had a great time. Mama and Daddy came to pick me up and had that little person with them. I think he is pretty cool. His name is Alex (that is pronounced "Al-wee")He let me kiss him on the cheek and he didn't cry when I wanted his pacifier. I help Mama swing him in the swing and rock him in his seat. I even got to hold him! Now, Mama has room for me on her lap again when she rocks me before bed. I like that too. I also found out, we are moving. We are living in a place called Salisbury. Daddy got a job there and Mama did too. SO....while they are moving all our stuff, I have been staying with Nanny and Papa. I am having a great time too! It is so fun! Soon, I will start a new daycare, but I don't know much about that yet. Mama says she will fill me in when she knows more. Ok, I think we are up to date now. Like I said, it has been CRAZY around here. I will try to do better and update more often...Sorry!

Okay, so here is the bad news, my Daddy lost his job in June. I don't know what that means, but I do know we have been travelling a lot. Daddy gets dressed up a lot and goes to what I think is called innervews. We have been to Washington county, Wilmington, Laurinburg, Greensboro, ...all over North Carolina. Travelling is okay, I especially like when we get to see family along the way. Oh, I got to see fireworks for the first time! When we were at Smith Mountain Lake, we went on the boat at night and I got to see fireworks go BOOM BOOM and show bright in the sky. It was really neat. Then, when we came home, I saw some there too. But, I fell asleep before they finished. When I woke up, it was bright outside and the fireworks were gone. We got new floors in our house too. We don't have carpet anymore, 'cept in my room. I like the new floors. I can ride my car in the house and it is so much easier! I forgot to tell you, I got moved to the big kids side of daycare too. I miss Barbara, but I like going to the playground everyday. But, I haven't been to daycare much this summer. We have been travelling a lot!
June
Well, Mama and Daddy finished work this month. We went on vacation to Smith Mountain Lake. Mama and Daddy tried to get me to play in the lake, but I didn't know what to think of the big "drink" (that is what I like to sign when I saw it). Mama showed me that there were rocks in the bottom of the lake, they were irresistable to pick up and throw. I had fun doing that! I also got to ride on the boat! That was fun too. I still don't like it when my feet don't touch the bottom of the lake! I got to spend time with the Bull family. They were a lot of fun. I also am learning to eat with a spoon all by myself! I am pretty good at, but I do make messes. Lots of times the food gets on my clothes instead of in my mouth. Daddy says I need more practice! Okay! I am fine with that! Oh yeah, I made stepping stones for Papa for Father's Day and for Gramma for her birthday. I think they turned out pretty good. I hope they like them.
May
Let's see, what happened in May? As you know, Mama was pregnant with my brother. I am not sure what it means, but I know her tummy was getting big and it was harder for me to cuddle with her at night. But, she still got down on the floor with me and played a lot. Daddy and I spent a lot of time outside working in the yard. I got to play on the tractor and help Daddy cut the grass. I got to see Nanny and Papa and Gramma and Granddaddy a lot too. That was fun.
Wow time has flown by!
Okay, I apologize for not updating you on my life, but things have been CRAZY!!! I will try to tell you everything that has been going a month at a time. So hold on to your seats! I have a lot to say!
My mouth hurts again!
Those little white things that Mommy and Daddy call teeth are popping up in my mouth again! This time they are in the back of my mouth and I don't like them at all. I have two on top and now more are coming in on the bottom. It hurts and makes me grumpy. Mommy and daddy are always trying to stick their fingers in my mouth with stuff that makes my mouth feel funny. But, it does make the pain stop for a little while. They want me to brush my teeth too. I don't like that either. Maybe when my mouth doesn't hurt so much, I won't mind it as much. Then it turns out I'm allergic to outside. We went to Shenannandoooah Crossing in Virginia last week and everytime I was outside I sneezed and coughed and my eyes itched. Mommy said it was because of the pollen. I liked that place, but I didn't like all the coughing. Daddy tried to get me in a really big bath tub with other people. I didn't like that too much either. It was loud and the big kids were splashing and getting water in my face. Instead we went for a walk by the lake. I did like playing at the playground, petting the horses, and hanging out with my cousin Sarah and Aunt Chris. That was fun. The best part was helping Daddy drive the boat. I don't know why they made me stop. I was so mad that they made me get off the boat. But, I got to play in the sand so, I got over it eventually.
Oh, Mommy found out that I am having a little brother! I have someone to wrestle with and Mommy said I'm going to have to teach him all the cool stuff I've learned. I think that is pretty cool. I think I can do that. I can teach all the sign language I've learned like Daddy, Mommy, Monkey, Elephant, More, Please, Thank you, Banana, cat...and others. I can teach him how to ride the lawn mower. Daddy has shown me how, so I think I do that pretty well now.
I go to the Doctor on Friday to see Dr. Raman and brag about all I have learned to do since he saw me last. I hope they don't stick me this time. It hurts when they do that!

I have been so busy!
I can't believe that I turned 14 months old yesterday! I remember my birthday party like it was yesterday...oh...I haven't told you about that yet. Sorry. I guess I have a lot of catching up to do. Like I said, I've been busy.
So, I had a big birthday party in January. We were supposed to have it a church, but they had some kind of gas leak thing, so my Great Aunt Cecelia and Great Uncle Bobby opened up their house to us. It was great. They had a big screened in back porch and live close enough to Granddaddy and Grandma that I was able to come over on one of Granddaddy's tractors. That was a lot of fun. We had friends and family there. I got to meet some of Mommy and Daddy's friends and hang out with their kids. Then I got to eat cake! It was so good and so GREEN! I was covered. I loved it! After I got cleaned up, me and the kids went on a hay ride. I loved that. But, I wanted to ride on the tractor instead of behind it...oh well, it was still fun!
So since then, I learned to walk!!! It is so much fun and kind of bumpy. I fall down a lot. Just yesterday, I face planted and got a nasty bump on my head. But I'm better now. Did you know when you walk, you can carry stuff in your hands too! So much easier, I can move stuff everywhere now!
I've had another ear infection since the last time I wrote, that put a damper on my fun. But I am better now. I've been travelling a lot to recently. I got to stay at my Aunt Chris's house twice since my birthday. I spent time with Granddaddy and Gramma too. I rode tractors again and had fun hanging outside with them. I stayed with Nana and Papa for almost 10 days. I had so much fun with them. I ate good food, played with lots of cool toys, got to go work with Papa and see my cousin Shayne and Aidan. After that I got to stay with the Charles family. They have 4 kids and I had so much fun playing with them. We spent a lot of time playing outside. They were so fun!
This past weekend, I got my pictures taken and had a lot of fun doing it. I was tired though. It took forever! I think they turned out pretty good. I will post them on my photo page, but they aren't edited. Ok, so there's an update. I promise I will try to do better about keeping you updated on my life. But, for now, I need to go to sleep. I am pooped...or maybe I just pooped...I need to go find Mommy...later!
OH! I forgot one big announcement! My Mommy and Daddy are going to get a brother or sister for me. I'm not sure what that means, but I know Mommy's tummy is getting bigger and she's been sick a lot. I hope that it doesn't get so big that I can't sit on her lap...

Christmas, Traveling, and Stuff
Wow, have I been busy?? Yes, yes I have! Between traveling, celebrating Christmas, and being sick, I haven't had time to write much. So here goes the update...I had several Christmas celebrations. Dec 18 was the first celebration. I went to my first Kirby Family Pig Pickin! It was so much fun. I got to see relatives and friends. I got to meet my new cousin Aidan! He is so cute. He really didn't seem to want to play though. But, he slept a whole lot! Maybe next time, he will play more! I finally got to meet mommy and daddy's friends Tim and Kasey. They were cool. I love playing with Kasey's jewelry! The next day, I went to Moore family Christmas celebration. I got to visit lots of family and play with my cousins Sarah and Madeline.
THEN Sarah came home with us. She helped Mommy and Daddy do some cleaning and take of me. We had a lot of fun together. We had a lot of snow up here on the mountain, so Mommy and Daddy had to work until December 23rd. Right after they got off work, we packed up and headed back to Greensboro for Christmas part 2. The thing that stinks is that I was getting sick. I think I was sick with one thing or another the whole month of December! UGH! Christmas Eve we spent time with the Charles Family. It was a lot of fun playing with Sabra, Teagan, Emery, and Tucker. They were so cool!
Christmas morning I got stuff from Santa! He brought me the coolest four wheeler. I made all kinds of noise and had fun trying to ride it. Then we had the Stubblefield crew over and had Christmas lunch and opened presents. Shortly after that, we were on the road again! We went straight to Aunt Lindy's house for more presents and food. It was so fun! I got a lap top, cool blanket, and some stacking toys among many other things. The next day it snowed like 5 inches in Laurinburg NC! Mommy says it never does that there. But, I'm used to seeing that white stuff. It was all over the place last year after I was born.
Mommy and Daddy left on Monday and went to Charleston for a few days. I got to spend all that time with Nana and Papa! We had so much fun! I got to ride in the rolly chair choo choo train, play with toys, and get super spoiled! But, I missed Mommy and Daddy a little. They said they had fun, but were ready to see me again! On Friday (New Years Eve) we came back to Greensboro and say Tim and Kasey again. Supposedly it is a big deal to stay up and ring in the New Year, but Mommy and I went to sleep, I was tired and she didn't feel so good. New years day, we packed up everything and headed back home after we had lunch with Seth, Laurie, and Melinda.
Monday morning Mommy and Daddy went back to work and I went to see Ms. Barbara at daycare. Tuesday, I got sick at daycare and had to go to the doctor. I threw up all over Mommy and myself. It was gross, but she cleaned me up. I started feeling better and had a good rest of the week. Mommy and Daddy have been out of work since last Thursday because the weather has been snowy. Its a good thing too, because I got sick again today! I am tired of being sick. Hopefully it will be over soon.
On another note, I turn 1 year old next week! Mommy and daddy are having a party for me, so we will be going back to Greensboro this weekend. I have quite a few skills to show off at my party. I am standing on my own for a long time now. I just don't know about taking that step yet, I can get there by crawling perfectly fine! I say mama, dada, uh oh, ow, and cat now. Sometimes I say no too. I love to shake my head no when Mommy and Daddy ask me to something. I can sign mama, daddy, more, eat, please, and fan now too. I am ready to show off my skills.
Well, I better go to bed. Tell you more stuff after my birthday party! I can't wait.
Shh...I'm supposed to be sleeping
So, I have to be quiet, because Mommy and Daddy think I'm sleeping. I have so much to tell you, I had to find time to blog. Since my last update, my Daddy had a birthday. Then we celebrated Thanksgiving. We went to Gramma and Granddaddy's house first. We celebrated there the Sunday before Thanksgiving. It was fun. I got to see my counsins and my Aunt and Uncle too. Then we went to Nana and Papa's on the day before Thanksgiving and stayed until Friday. I had a good time visiting there too. I played and played and slept and ate (and pooped) and played some more! My Nana had a new friend there for me. His name is Puppy. I remembered I have a friend like him at home, so I played with him a lot. He kept me company in the back seat on the way home. I love Puppy.
I got to see my counsins Madeline and Sarah and Uncle Parry and Aunt Chris the last weekend of November. They came up and got a Christmas tree. It was fun looking for a tree with them. I got to ride on Daddy's back the whole time. They played with me a lot too. Madeline and Sarah fed me. It was funny, because they were being so careful and I was enjoying making a mess, just to give them a hard time! We got our Christmas tree the next Friday. Mommy decorated it this past weekend. She put some candles in the windows and Daddy put up garland outside. I like the tree, but they won't let me grab the branches and ornaments. Mommy showed me a Winnie the Pooh ornament and said that was my ornament. She said it was the first one on the tree...sweet!
We spent time with the Charles-Liscombe family this past Sunday. They got a tree too. It was a lot colder at the tree farm this time. I didn't mind the cold, but I hated the wind. After about five minutes, Mommy and I went inside and ate cheerios and applesauce. That was the fun part! After that we went to a birthday party for a friend of Mommy and Daddy's. Ms. Becky and her family were great! I had so much fun playing with all the toys she had for her grandkids. The kids were really nice too.
It has been really cold up here! We got snow this week. The temperature has been around 16 or so. That seems high to me, but I can't count yet, so I don't know...
Did you know I am starting to stand and balance without help? Well, I am. AND...if Mommy or Daddy help me, I take steps. But, I love crawling most and opening drawers and cabinet doors. That is the best...

Mommy's Birthday
Yesterday was Mommy's birthday. She wanted to go hiking (did you know that is just a funny word for walking in the woods?) It was fun though. I got to ride on Daddy's back in a back pack thing. We saw water falling down a mountain. (That's called a water fall) and we went to on top of a mountain. Mommy and Daddy were huffing and puffing a lot. I thought it was a nice ride myself. I even took a nap. After that we went to eat and to wal-mart. Mommy said it was one of the best birthdays ever. She's been stressed out lately, so I'm glad she had a good time. Mommy and Daddy said they are going to start taking me on more walks like this. I'm excited! I think it will be fun!
Wow, it's already November!
Man the year has flown by! I can't believe I'll be 10 months old next Friday! Mommy says she is getting old, she will be 408 months old this Saturday! That's a lot of months! Daddy will be 420 months old next Saturday. I wonder if there will be any parties? Probably not, they are too old for parties!
So, since I last blogged, I have learned A LOT! Let's see, I say Mama, Dada, Uh-Oh (everyone says it with me when I say it, that's a lot of fun!). I sign milk sometimes and fan. I wave bye-bye and hello. I can stand on my own (holding on of course), crawl everywhere (I'm pretty quick too, this morning Mama walked out to crank up the car and I was in the bedroom with Daddy, when she came back I was in the kitchen see what I could get into!), I'm cruising a long the furniture. Oh and those things on the front of the counters aren't for show, they can be opened and closed, I like doing that (until they try to eat my fingers, that hurts!).
I have some great pics on here for you all to see. Mommy's friend Ms. Jennifer took them when she and her family were here last month. Sorry it's taken me so long to get them up. But they are pretty nice if I say so myself!
This month I got to see Dr. Raman again. He said that I am doing great. I weighed 17 lbs, 27 inches long, and my head is 17 inches around. I am a little small, but look at my parents (they aren't giants!) He said I looked very healthy and then he let that nurse lady come in and stick me again. It didn't hurt for very long, so that was good. But now I won't get the flu.
I also got to meet Jamie and Hunter and see their new house. I got to go to my cousin Shayne's Baby Shower, and I went to church with my Nanny and Papa. I got to go in front of everyone there, so I waved at them. They all laughed, so I waved some more! I got to see Seth and Laurie (well, they got to see me, I was asleep.), and I think that about covers it.
Next weekend we are having Thanksgiving dinner at Gramma and Granddaddy's house and then on Thanksgiving we will be at Nanny and Papa's house. So, I guess I need to get on my traveling shoes, cause we are going to be on the road a lot!
Well, I should go, Ms. Barbara (my daycare caregiver) doesn't know I snuck off to use the computer...

What a rough week! First Daddy had a migraine for 2 days, then Mommy got sick with a fever. THEN they had the nerve to give their problems to me! I cam down with a fever on Thursday night. I havent felt good until today! Finally Daddy took me to see the Pedamatrishican. They said I have an ear in Fection. I thought both my ears were on the side of my head! Where in the world is Fection? Anyway, the doctor gave me some pink stuff, so now I am starting to feel better, cry less, and actually get some sleep!
My Nanny Kirby is here now. Finally someone who knows how to take care of me! She came because something about Mommy and Daddy needing to work??? Whats up with that?
My bathroom is finally getting finished, thanks to Mr. Donny and his crew. Daddy would have taken forever to do it. Now I have to wait until Daddy paints until I can shower. Again, whats up with that? I like the bath though... its much bigger than the sink. I like the bubbles, too, but they dont taste so good!
Mommy says I have more teeth coming in, other than these bottom two. Im not sure I want them, so I bit mommy with the two I have to tell her. That didnt go well. Apparently biting and eating dont go together so well.
I hope to see my friends the Tates soon: Addison, Avery, Aaron, and Mr. David and Ms. Jennifer. They are supposed to visit soon!
I also look forward to all my friends coming to see me in November and December! Daddy says they are coming to get a Christophermass tree, but I know they are really coming to see me! I am very excited! Last year when people came, apparently there was over a foot of snow on the ground! Too bad I missed that one!
In January will be my first birthday. I think we are going to see Grandaddy Steve and Grandma Susan. Someone said something about a party! Whoooooooooooooooooo! hehhehehehe
Uh oh.... Mommy is hearing me typing when I should be in bed! GTG!!

What is this thing?
I got something in my mouth and it won't go away. My gums have this sharp white thing coming out of them! Mommy keeps putting her finger in there and telling me she can feel it. I can too, my gums HURT! I am so glad when she gives me frozen pairs in my mesh feeder because then it goes numb for a little while. Daddy said I will get a bunch more like him and mommy. I don't know if I want them if it hurts like this! Ugh!
Well, I finally figured out how to get my knees and arms under me. Now, I think if I get good at it, I will be able to move. But that is a hard thing to coordinate. Should I do knees then arms, or arms then knees? I will figure it out.
Gotta go nap now.

Why does my shirt keep getting wet???
Mommy told me yesterday that she is gonna start making me wear a bib all the time! She says my shirt is always wet! I don't know why, I'm not allowed to play in the water unless its bath time, so I don't know what it is.. I do have a lot of stuff in my mouth. Its like I'm drinking with out a cup. My gums feel weird too. Sometimes they are just achy and I get fussy. Daddy thinks I might be cutting a tooth. Mommy says she is a little worried about that. . .something about biting her when I eat. . .
So, when mommy or daddy sit me on the floor I am sitting up for a long time. I can't get myself up yet, but I'm trying. I am also working getting my knees ready for crawling. I also like doing downward dog poses in yoga. I keep falling over though. Mommy tells me I'm not supposed to stand on my head when I do it, but I can't help it, that's the easiest way!
Oh, did I tell you that I started eating butternut squash today? I really like it. Mommy says green beans are next. I'm not sure what that is, but she says that they are from Grandpa Steve's garden and he canned them himself! So, I think that is a great thing!
Today, Mommy and I are staying home. I didn't sleep well last night because of my achy gums, so Mommy decided to stay home with me. It seems that is the only way I get this blog caught up.
Well, I'm going to roll around a while and practice my downward dog before its time for lunch and nap. Have a great day friends!
Summer is almost over. . .
Monday Mommy goes back to work. That means, I go back to daycare full time. I really like my daycare and Ms. Barbara is great. It will be nice to see all my friends again. But, Mommy said she is going to be sad that she can't spend everyday with me. I don't blame her, I am pretty cute!
We have had a fun summer. I've met lots of relatives, been to the beach, the lake, saw lots of friends and got to sleep late. I started eating fruits, veggies, and cereal this summer. So far pears, bananas, and sweet potatoes are my favorite. Carrots are ok and I like applesauce in my cereal. Oh yeah, oatmeal is pretty good too.
I'm rolling over now. That is pretty cool. I can get to all kinds of stuff. My knees are starting to get underneath me too. Daddy says I might start crawling now. Then Mommy gives a sigh and says she's gonna have to get her running shoes on when that happens. I'm not sure why. . .
So recently, I got to see a lot of people. Last week Gramma Susan came to visit. We had a lot of fun. She gave me my first set of keys. I don't know what they go to, but I'm hoping for a convertible sports car. Daddy's friend Seth came for a visit too. He is funny. He kept making funny faces at me and talking in some weird language. I thought it was pretty funny, but I couldn't understand a word. We went to a birthday party for Mr. Jack. That was fun. I got to hang out with my buddies Aniah and Tucker a lot too.
Let's see what else. . .I got to meet one of Mommy's former students Donald and his Mom. Donald was really cool. He pushed my stroller and I got to have a lot of fun with them. Mommy was really excited to see them. Yesterday, I went to Charlotte and got to see Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Andrea. I had fun rolling around on the floor and playing with paper. Then we went to Mommy's friend Jennifer's house. I got to play with Addison, Avery, and Aaron. I really had fun, and I think Mommy did too.
Today we are taking it easy, cuz we were so busy yesterday. So, I finally have time to catch up on my blog. Now, I'm getting kind of hungry, so I need to go holler at Mommy to get me some food. Talk to you later. Bye!
I love summer. . .
Well, if you have been keeping up, you know I have had a busy summer. Did Mommy or Daddy tell you that I am rolling over from my back to my tummy? I am a pro at it. I have to say, it is frustrating that I can roll over and still not reach my stuff. . .grr, I hate that!
I'm still hanging out with my Nana and Papa, but I miss my daddy a lot. I think we are going home tomorrow. Mommy said I need to rest up before we go to the lake. I don't know what a lake is. . .something else new to learn.

Beach time
Wow, I am a world traveler! Mommy and I drove to Laurinburg Saturday. Daddy had a conference in Asheville for a few days, so we went to see family. Well while we were there we decided to go to the beach for a few days. I didn't know what that was until I got there. Did you know the beach is a big swimming pool??? It's so cool! Actually, it's hot, but still it was fun to watch. I got to swim and see people and look at cars and. . .sorry I dozed off. . .I'm so tired, but there is so much to see and do. I got to swim in the kid's pool and that big swimming pool mommy called the ocean. I have been spending a lot of time with my Nana. She is pretty cool. I have been so sleepy and she tries to get me to nap. . .but THERE IS TOO MUCH TO SEE!!!! I love all the stu. . .oh I dozed off again. Okay. I'm awa. . .. . .
So what else is going on??
Let's see. . .I had my 4 month check up in May. Dr. Raman said I looked great and completely normal! Yay. It was a short visit. I got shots that day. I turned bright red when they gave me the shots, but Daddy picked me up right away and I knew everything was okay, so I didn't cry. I weighed 13 lbs and 11 oz and was 24 1/2 inches long. I go back to the Dr. in July.
When I'm home I like laying on play gym and hanging out with our pets. Orange Cat likes to lick my head. Daddy says he's grooming me. I have been looking for Tucker lately, but he hasn't been around. Mommy said he's gone to heaven and is playing with China and Charlotte now. I wonder if he will come back to visit?? George is around though. She likes to hang out with us a lot. I also have a new friend. The neighbor's dog likes to visit a lot. Her name is Sonic Boom Bolt! She is a funny black lab.
I have started giggling a lot. Mommy and Daddy are funny people. I can't help but laugh at them. I also found out that my toes are pretty tasty! I like sticking them in my mouth. Mommy likes to lay me on my tummy for tummy time. Sometimes I don't mind, but sometimes I just turn over and lay on my back again! Mommy claps her hands for me when I do this. She looks so silly I just grin at her!
Well, I need to go to bed. Mommy says I have been up really late all week. So I will talk to you later. Have a good night everyone!
I'm a world traveler! (Well, maybe just East Coast)
Since I last wrote I have travelled all over the place. For starters, I went to Pigeon Forge with Mommy and Daddy. We didn't go to Dollywood, Mommy said I'm too young for that, but we had fun. We went for a walk one night. I loved all the lights. Mommy called it Myrtle Beach of the mountains.
Mother's Day weekend, Mommy and I drove to Laurinburg to see Nanny. It was Papa's birthday weekend too. I had a lot of fun. I got to see my cousins and meet my Uncle Terry! We went to church with Nanny and Papa. I liked all the people I met there. After that we went Gramma and Grandpa's house for a little while. I liked hanging out with them.
Last weekend we travelled to Greensboro again. This time it was because Mommy had an appointment. I got to meet Mommy's friend Jody and see Seth and Laurie again. I like all of them a lot. We were going to go back home that night, but it was late and I was really grumpy so we stayed the night. I got to see my cousins Madeline and Sarah and my Aunt Chris and Uncle Parry. After we left there we stayed in a hotel. I like staying in those places.
This week has been crazy! Last Wednesday we found out my great grandfather passed away. I never got to meet Papa Moore, but people tell me he would have loved to get his hands on me. We drove to Coats/Angier area on Thursday and went to a visitation service for him. I got to see a lot of family members there and hang out with Gramma and Grandpa again. We stayed in another hotel. Aunt Chris stayed with us. Friday we went to the funeral and then had to drive to Florence SC because Mommy's Uncle Edward passed away. We made it just in time to go to the visitation. We stayed in another hotel then went to his funeral on Saturday.
Saturday, Daddy went back to Sparta because he had to go to work on Monday. Mommy and I stayed in Laurinburg with her family. That's where I am now. Last night we stayed with my cousins Shayne and Joey. This morning I got to go swimming for the first time. We went in the morning and only stayed for a few minutes because Mommy was scared I would get burned. I'm not sure what that means, I didn't see any fire.
This afternoon we came back to Nanny and Papa's house and I've been taking it easy ever since. Mommy said we may go back to the pool again soon. I think I get to see Mommy's friend Heather and her son Zeke too! Yay!
We are going home on Wednesday. Whew. . .like I said.. .crazy week!
Where to start...
It's been a while since I've talked to you people. I have been soooo busy! Let's start with all the cool stuff I like. Mommy and Daddy got a cool shower gift for me. It is a Bumbo seat. I like to sit in and watch my Baby Einstein videos. I am learning so much from them. Mommy and Daddy are doing sign language with me while we watch it together. Pics are attached of all this cool stuff.
Mommy and Daddy tell me that I am very attentive now. I love listening to Daddy read to me at bed time. Our favorite books are Skippyjon Jones books. Skippyjohn Jones is a kitty cat that thinks he's a chihuahua. When he dons his cape he becomes El Skippito. Daddy is so funny when he reads to me. I love watching him. So today we travelled to Gramma and Grandpa's house in Greensboro. I like the big open yard and fields I can play in. But they tell me I'm too little right now. Maybe soon I won't be too little. I saw Daddy riding on a tractor with Grandpa. Grandpa said I will get to ride on it someday. . .when I get bigger. . .wish I could now. I met my cousins Barry, his wife Mary, and John today. I also met my 2 year old cousin John Wilson, I think he's pretty cool.
It is really hot down off the mountain, so I wasn't the best company. I'm not used to hot weather, so I was kind of grumpy. Sorry everyone. . .
It's been a good day. I got to meet my new Tigger, Piglet and Big Bird friends. They talk to me. Daddy says Piglet and Big Bird are woosies (What's a woosie?? I'm not sure, but it must be pretty cool, cuz I liked them!) I'm kind of tired now and Gramma says its almost my bed time. SOOO. . .I guess I gotta go for now. But I will talk to you later!
Big Weekend
Well, my Nanny and Papa just left. I loved having them here. It was so fun to see them. I showed Nanny my smile. Mommy says I have the best smile ever! Nanny agreed with her. We cooked steak on the grill for dinner when they got here. It was good stuff! We did a lot of travelling. We went to the Ashe Cheese Co. We wanted to see how they made cheese, but they weren't making any. Mommy and daddy bought some cheese and a cookbook. We went to lunch at Geno's and to Walmart. It was a big day. They left today and I alread miss them. I hope they have a safe trip home.
In a little bit we are going to Greensboro to see Gramma and Grandpa. We are staying the night at their house. On Monday, Mommy and Daddy are taking me to Grandpa's station. Mommy needs to get her oil changed. I don't know what oil is or why it needs to be changed, but I get to see the guy stuff at the station, so that's cool!
We are also going to their old schools to meet some of the people they worked with and visit some of their former students. I think we are going some other places too, but I don't know where yet. Anyway, I gotta get dressed in my Easter outfit that my cousin Shayne got for me. I want to look handsome for Gramma and Grandpa when I get there.

Whew I've been busy!
Man, it has been a busy month! I have been everywhere and back again! Mommy went back to work and I started daycare. I like daycare, my caregiver, Ms. Barbara is great. Mommy had a hard time going back to work, but she is okay now. She says her favorite time of day is 3:15 when she can leave and come pick me up!
I got to meet some new people. Mommy and Daddy love these people a lot, and I have to admit, they are pretty cool. I got to meet my Aunt Chris, Uncle Parry, cousins Madeline and Sarah, Chad and Shannon, Heather, Seth and Laurie, and Uncle Wayne, Aunt Kathy, and Aunt Linda. . . I think that is everyone. . . like I said, I've been busy!
I also travelled to Greensboro and Laurinburg with Mommy to see my family. I don't remember much of the trip, except I slept really good! Mommy, Daddy and I went to Concord and Huntersville. I got to meet some of Daddy's athletic training friends and we spent the night with Mommy's college roommate Jenn and her husband David. I loved meeting their kids Addison, Avery and Aaron. Aaron is 4 months older than me. . .I think he's pretty cool. I can't wait to get to know him!
Mommy says I'm growing a lot. We went to the doctor and I really liked it. I was laying on crinkly paper and it was fun to move around, then this lady came in and gave me some yummy tasting stuff, after that she stuck me in my legs 3 times!!! I don't know why she did that. . .but I didn't like it. Mommy didn't either, she cried. She cries a lot.
Anyway, the Dr. said that I am doing all things that are completely normal. I weighed 10 lbs. 10 oz. and was 23 inches long. Daddy says I'm probably bigger now, I guess that is a good thing.
Mommy and Daddy bought me some toys because I am looking around and cooing a lot these days. I like my bouncy seat when I need a rest, but my favorite is my play gym by Bright Starts. http://www.brightstarts.com/p-92-backyard-gym.aspx It's awesome. My Visitors
Yesterday, I got to meet my Aunt Lindy! She was so sweet. Mom and I went to Brown's for lunch and met her and Nanny Kirby there. I was really sleepy from the car ride, but I woke up as soon as I smelled Mom's fried chicken. I also got really hungry. My Aunt Lindy fed me my bottle while Mom at all the chicken! She didn't save any for me. I needed a little break from eating, so Nanny Kirby took me and hung out with me. I love them both very much.
We went back to our house and Aunt Lindy and Nanny Kirby took lots of pictures of me. I must be famous! They said they would make sure Mom got a copy of the pictures so I can post them on my website.
I thought Aunt Chris and her family were coming today, but Mom told me the wrong date. She is having a hard time keeping dates straight, something about a lack of sleep (not sure what's causing that, I'm getting plenty of sleep!) Oh well, maybe I'll meet them before I start walking. Tomorrow, Mom's friend Heather is coming to see me. I don't know if she is bringing her son Zeke. He's about a year older than me, I hear he's pretty cool.

I'm So Excited!!!
Tomorrow is gonna be a really special day! I get to see my Nanny Kirby again and meet my Aunt Lindy! Mom has told me lots of stuff about Aunt Lindy, and tomorrow I get to see if it is all true! :) The one thing I do know is that I can't wait to meet her!
Saturday, Mom's friend Heather is coming up to say hello! Mom says she'll tell me stories about their adventures when I'm older. . .not sure why she can't tell me now. . .oh well.
I'm not sure, but I think my Aunt Chris, Uncle Parry, and cousins Madeline and Sarah are comiong too. I love having visitors! I like faking sleep and peaking at whoever is holding me with one eye. [But don't tell them.]
Busy Day! and Boppy!
Man, o man. What a busy day! After oversleeping with Mom and Dad, he went to work and she took me shopping. Apparently I have a little eye goo that will clear up with some Erythromycin. Unfortunately no one in town has the medication! So Mom had to either go back to Wilkesboro to the doctor's office or Wal~Mart. Since Wal~Mart has other stuff, she took me there.
After running a bunch of errands I was getting pretty cranky and hungry. I was trying to tell everyone around me that, but no one would listen. Can you believe Mom left the prescription back at home?? AAAAANYWAY after many phone calls between Wilkes Pediatrics and Wal~Mart, I finally got my medication. I must say I got even MORE agitated when the pharmacy lady told Mom she couldn't check out there because someone was waiting behind her. This was AFTER already waiting an hour and a half! Mom was then only annoyed by the pharmacy lady when she told Mom that Mom was doing a great job with me.
Dad came home from work and things got better. I got to eat and settle in for a long nap! Dad put me down on my Boppy Infant Pillow. I LOVE it!

Wipes!
Something Mom and Dad learned very quickly is that some money that is seemingly wasted on frivolous items - such a machine that warms up baby wipes - is actually a very nice thing! They got the "Prince Lionheart Ultimate Wipes Warmer" from Wal~Mart.
Worth every penny for a crying-free diaper change.
I HATE FREEZING COLD WIPES ON MY JUNK! I am already annoyed that I have to be changed, and then they wanted me to bear freezing cold wipes? NO WAY!
Speaking of wipes, I am trying out different brands right now... The only thing I can tell you about wipes so far is that Dad doesn't like "Pampers" brand wipes. He says their smell reminds him of either Room 313 Broome-Kirk Gym at AppState --where they dissected cats-- or the stale formaldehyde/betadine-esque scent of an operating room. I will get back to you on more.

My First Bath
Nanny Kirby and Mom decided it was time I took a bath....something about my hair they didn't like.
They bought this bath from "4 Moms Clean Water Infant Tub." It was really cool. You turn on the water and it runs into a reservoir across a thermometer (to make sure the water temp is ok). Then it spills over into the bathing area, giving you time to adjust the water temperature before it comes in contact with me. On the sides of the tub are holes, so the "dirty" water spills gently into the sink. Its like bathing in a warm river!
I got really cold and started to cry when mom finally set me in the water. NICE! [I think I peed, though]
PS--Dont tell Dr. Pontzer that the bath was too early!

The First Two Weeks
After 16 days of crying and fussing, Dad finally set up the website like I wanted. It has taken some time, but I have at least got the basics down. I cant believe how hard it is to type with these fingers! SRSLY!
My parents are annoying... Dad insists on making me correct my spelling on this thing. Mom keeps worrying that the laptop is too heavy to sit on my lap. [Step 1 of my devious plan to get the new Apple iPad!!] Mom keeps shoving her chest in my face. Not bad most of the time. Dad says to take advantage while I can. [What the heck does that mean?]
OK, so here is the recap:
I was born on January 19, 2010. I weighed 7 lbs, 5 oz, and I was 21 inches long. My head has a circumference of 14 inches! [Mom says ouch!] My experience was very nice. The nurses and doctors at Wilkes Regional Medical Center were great (especially Dr. Blackwell and Dr. Koch). I got to go home after a day or so (it was a blur). Dad placed a live alligator named Chompy in my carrier. [REALLY, DAD? an ALLIGATOR!? IDIOT!] The gator turned out to be a vegetarian, so it wasn't too bad. I see the beginning of a wonderful friendship! [especially at the dinner table in the future!] I got to wear my first Appalachian gear--a toboggan. [or beanie in some places] I am not sure what it means to be a Mountaineer, but we will see! AAAAAANYWAY-- It was warm the day I was born-- almost 70 degrees F. But when I went home....geez! cold cold cold!
Grandma Susan and Granddaddy Steve came to visit, and then Nanny and Papa Kirby also! Cousins Shayne and Joey came later. Mom and Dad say that Aunt Chris and Uncle Parry are coming too, but I guess they are scared of all the snow. [We got about 6 more inches today!] They also say that Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Andrea, Aunt Lindy and Uncle Terry and Cousin Kelsey should be coming too.
So far I have been to Galax,VA, Independence,VA, Sparta,NC, and Wilkesboro,NC! I am a regular world traveler! My favorite place is Wal~Mart. So much to see and do! Last time I was there I saw Miss Roxanne, Miss Terri, and Mister Bryan! A great surprise. And Mom bought OREOs!! I can't wait!!
Mom and Dad took me to see the doctor yesterday. I was feeling fine. I tried to tell them I didn't need anything, but they wouldn't listen! After taking me back to a strange cold room, Dad made me get naked and they weighed and measured me again! UGH! They said I was still 21 and 14. They also said I gained weight though... now I am up to 8 lbs 5 oz. [I wonder if I should look into Weight Watchers?? I saw Dan Marino and he looks great!]
Then a part of my body went numb, so I peed and pooped on Dr. Pontzer. I guess he didnt like it because now it stings to pee. [What the heck did they do to me????] I heard the doctor say he had to cut a lot. He said I was a big boy! Great! But I don't know what he means. Oh well...
