Welcome to the online home of Wine Country Acoustic. Historically, we've been sponsoring house concerts every other year in connection with the Healdsburg Guitar Festival. Past concerts have featured Larry Pattis, Steve Wildey, Dorian Michael and Kenny Blackwell; and the most recent concert featured Chicago blues artist Nicholas Barron.
On August 13th, 2011, we'll be hosting "An Evening with Michael Chapdelaine," one of the world's true guitar virtuosos. This concert will again be hosted in the private, enclosed courtyard of our Santa Rosa home, affectionately known as "The Lodge at Hidden Hills." CandyRat artist Antoine Dufour to join Michael Chapdelaine at this year's concert!
I'm very pleased to announce that CandyRat recording artist Antoine Dufour will be joining Michael Chapdelaine for our upcoming concert. With six albums of original material released to critical acclaim, two live performance DVDs, and more than 25 million views on YouTube, Antoine Dufour has emerged as a young star of fingerstyle acoustic guitar, building a worldwide reputation for innovation and creativity.
Antoine has toured across Canada and the UK and toured several times in USA with other artists such as Don Ross and Andy McKee. In addition, Antoine has performed at major festivals such as The Montreal International Jazz Festival.
Antoine won the first place at the Canadian Fingerstyle Guitar Championships, placed third at the internatonal fingerpicking championships at Winfield (USA), has held seminars, workshops and masterclasses as part of his tour schedule.
His fans have recorded countless covers of his music on YouTube and his fan base is as loyal and ravenous to see him perform as any artist out there today.
This will truly be a very memorable evening!
An Evening with Michael Chapdelaine
Mark your calendars for what will likely be an extraordinary evening of acoustic guitar! On August 13th, 2011, during the heart of the Healdsburg Guitar Festival, Michael Chapdelaine will be performing an intimate, outdoor concert under the stars of the Sonoma County Wine Country. With many of the worlds greatest luthiers and guitar players in town, this night could easily turn into a once in a lifetime acoustic guitar jam!

What day is the Concert?
The concert will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011. Please plan to arrive by 6:30 pm, the music starts when the sun goes down.
Is there a donation required?
We are encouraging a $20 per person donation to help compensate the musicians. If you'd rather bring a bottle of wine, that's fine too! We'll be providing complimentary wines with help from our friends and neighbors Ted and Mary Lou Milkoff, and amazing appetizers prepared by the team at Thomas John Events!
How do I RSVP and obtain location information?

Is this a quality venue for acoustic music?
We think one of the best! We have an outdoor, enclosed garden courtyard with comfortable seating for 60, an elevated stage, stage lighting and a high-quality sound system, including Yamaha speakers/monitors, Mackie mixing board, Line 6 and Fishman effects and Shure microphones.
How many people will attend?
The private courtyard provides a very comfortable space for up to 60 acoustic music fans. We would like to maintain this audience size to make the event as enjoyable as possible for all who attend.
Where should I park?
There is limited parking available at the residence. Once the spaces are full, you'll need to park at the cul de sac at the bottom of the drive and walk up. Its about a 1/4 mile walk that will get your heart pumping. Wear comfortable shoes and feel free to call the house if you need some assistance.
Will food and drinks be provided?
Absolutely! We will provide a selection of wine, beer, water and coffee. To make this year's concert even more special, we've asked the great team at Thomas John Events to prepare a very special selection of appetizers and snacks! Of course, you're also welcome to contribute your own items to the selection.
