Things Jessica learned on her 2009 trip to CA
1. Not all Chinese food in Chinatown is good.
2. You should throw away the first pour in a cup of tea to get a good cup of tea.
3. When you need to get to the airport fast, Jon should drive.
4. When driving up the curvy highway 1, Jon should not drive.
5. When Jeff & Tim go out for Italian, they GO OUT for Italian. Did we leave anything for the other patrons?
6. Sonona and Napa are very different areas, even though they are close together. Napa is dry and volcanic, Sonoma is green and clay-like.
7. Alcatraz is a very beautiful island, even though it was a prison. Lots of greenery and wildlife.
8. Getting your nails done with Melissa Sweeney is an interesting experience. Was that a Korean nail salon or a massage parlor...
9. Ask for Escobar - he's on couch between the bathrooms and the kitchen.
10. Matt makes friends with bartenders everywhere. He must impress them with his beer knowledge.
11. When you tell people in CA you are from WI, they wonder if you brought cheese. I thought they had happy cows...
12. Mel Szkil loves Irish coffees. A lot.
13. Jamie likes the winery dogs about as much as she likes the wine.
14. After a few wineries, the wine starts to taste the same.
15. Sea lions are funny.
