First Post
It works like this: First you get a Shutterfly account at their web site, www.shutterfly.com. Upload pictures into albums, but these are for your own use. The rest of the world can't see them there. From there, you click on a couple of links and - Presto! - you have a web site like this. If people know or guess the web address (what to put in place of the www) they can visit the site. You bring some of the pictures from some of your albums over to this site, where you want everyone to see them - or you can make it private if you want to. You invite some people to become members, where they can take greater advantage of the pictures you've added. And, personally, I encourage anyone visiting this site to order prints or other products from Shutterfly, because I sure do appreciate what they've made available here!=DAW=
How We Can All Use This Site
UPLOADING: I'm going to upload old photos in reasonably high resolution. If you become a "member" of this site - (really simple) - you can also contribute to the collection. DOWNLOADING: Any member of the site, whether you've added photos or not, can download full-resolution images to use in your own way, or better yet, order prints, gifts, and even photo books from Shutterfly. Order a coffee mug with Andrew Sweet's portrait on it, for instance. Or a photo book of selected images of your ancestors! That's the idea. Now, to get started adding images...! =David A. Woodbury=
