Back from a three-country journey
Last week was a wonderful trip for me...and a spiritual journey as well. I went to Kuala Lumpur (KL) in Malaysia, then to Siem Reap and Phnom Penh in Cambodia, and lastly, to Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam. I've seen beautiful sights, at varying degrees. KL was hip and modern. Cambodia was laid back but mysterious. Saigon, as Ho Chi Minh is often called, is progressive yet has a touch of class.
Home for the Holidays
I'm counting the days and I'll once again cap the year in my home province in Bacolod City, the city of Smiles. What Bacolod has in store for me is something you have to find out in my future entries.
Business out-of-town
Today I heard the news that I'll be sent out of town for a business trip. I used to like it -- freebies and all. But with the enjoyable experiences I've had on vacation trips with friends, business trips seem to be bland, boring and stressful. Let's see...
Camsur
I'm currently in Camarines Sur, enjoying the long weekend with a trip to Caramoan and CWC. :-)

Blog4Japan at Todd’s Wanderings
My fellow Lonely Planet blogsherpa Todd Wassel of Todd’s Wanderings recently posted how others can help the people of Japan, especially those affected by the recent calamities that hit their country. As someone who works with Habitat for Humanity Philippines, I, too, appeal to those with generous hearts to do their share. Todd came up with [...]

First-time to walk in darkness
Nothing can compare to my walk in pitch black darkness. Going back to Corregidor five months after visiting the island may not hold any novelty to it. But I guess this historical landmark never failed to amaze me. Our trip was something different. I was with several travel bloggers hosted by Sun Cruises, represented by [...]

First-time in a Habitat Bloggers Build
I missed the first two Bloggers Build with Habitat for Humanity. To think that I work for this non-profit organization. Finally, I was able to be at the site when a group of bloggers once again took a morning off and traveled for almost two hours to the quiet town of Calauan in Laguna, south [...]

First-time in Mandarin Oriental Chiang Mai
The golden streaks of the sun setting was our backdrop as we rode towards our accommodation in Chiang Mai. From a morning flight from Bangkok, we spent the whole day going to a dentist, eating a sumptuous lunch at a château, and visiting several temples around the city’s center. After a packed day, it was [...]
