Hello Everyone!
Just wanted to say thank you for an awesome 2010 Summer in Yuma :) We had many fun adventures and I hope we create many more memories this year. Now that you are all getting a little more settled with school and sports, it is time to start our fundraising again.
Due to some other scheduled activities in the church, we have to change a few things around... Our breakfast will have to be postponed, but we will have a fun little ice cream social in its place that night. We have visiting missionaries speaking at our church on the night we planned Rent-A-Teen, but we are moving it to mid-November and will be able to publicize it a little more.
Other fun events to come include our Mystery Dinner Party on Saturday the 30th of October and another lock-in is in the works. If anyone has any ideas and wants to be included in the planning process- please let us know.
Also, I would like to start a youth council. Many of you have attended the Leadership Summit and I would like us to have a council to take this year. Anyone who would like to be part of the council can join- because of our size, we are not limiting the number of members.
If you want to join, you will meet with us leaders and share:
· Your testimony
· Where you think you are in your walk with God
· What your vision is for youth group
· What responsibility you would like to have on the council
Please do not let this intimidate you, many of you have shared most of this with us during bible study.
Heath, Lohri, Harvey, and Julie- Thank you for being involved in youth group. It would not be the same without you four.
