Elementary School Age Summer Camp Coming Soon!!
The pony rides were so much fun today!! Im sorry I didnt get pictures but on Tuesday, the professional pictures will be available on Tuesday for purchase from 3 to 6pm. The friends really loved meeting and riding "Miss Tooty" and "Misty" and the horse "cowboy" was so great, which you will see by the great smiles on the pictures! This was a great time for the friends to have a real experience with one of the animals we have been talking about for the last two weeks. If any parents know of anyone who owns a pig or a chicken/chicks I would love to bring them in to visit for the friends to experience.
We will be closed Monday, May 31st for Memorial Day!
Its never too early to encourage kindness!
We certainly missed Miss Courtney yesterday, our first day back after winter break. The bright side for me though is that I get to be with the most amazing little ones in the afternoon. I was certainly blessed last night as I watched Kimmy display kindness and empathy with one of her friends!
As we know, Kimmy loves her babies! She truly is a little mommy as she cares for her baby throughout the day. There is one baby doll in particular that she is attached to. I wondered what Kimmy's response was going to be as I watched one of her friends pick this baby doll up to play with. Kimmy realized immediately that her baby was being cared for by someone else and she walked over saying "my baby" with her hands out. Her friend immediately complied and handed over the baby. Kimmy took her baby over and set her in the stroller then something beautiful happened. Without prodding or direction, Kimmy walked over to the basket, picked up another baby and took it to her friend! What an amazing display of kindness and empathy.
Ms. Kari shared with me this morning how they have been encouraging Kimmy to do this when someone wants to play with "her" baby. Well, its working! Kimmy didnt get upset when someone wanted her baby AND she took it a step further to show concern for her friend by getting a baby for her!

The friends at You're Invited developed the self-help skills spreading their jellies by themselves. We also practiced our math skills when we predicted what our favorites were going to be then graphed our conclusions!
